Agree or Disagree ???
Just reading an article on Seconds Out with Lovemore N'Dou & in it he says that he's fought 3 top 10 Light Welters in the past 2 years (Witter,Cotto & Mitchell) & they have never been the same fighters they were before they got in the ring with N'Dou.
Thinking back he seems to be right, Mitchell then went & lost to Tszyu & PBF, Cotto suffered against Torres & had a few scary moments with a fight with Corley & Witter looked pants with Kotelnik & Lynes.
Mind you Lovemore does seem to have a big mouth & he's shouting it off again to try & secure a Hatton fight, which to be honest wouldn't suprise me if he does get it.

True but Coincidence
Mitchell was getting old anyway and wasn't his old self against Ndou. Witter was stepping up so may or may not have had problems with Lynes and Kotelnik anyway (plus hes getting on a bit now), and Cotto was stepping up and may or maynot have had problems with Corley and Torres anyway
Ndou deserves biggish fights - hes gone down to the wire with 3 of the top 140lbers in recent years, an argument could be made he beat Cotto and Mitchell.

Two words....utter bollocks.
The suggestion that N'dou ruined all those men is just laughable. Cotto picked up a rib injury during the fight which marred his performance, but no way did Ndou do enough to win that, and Witter won a close when pretty clearly from where I was sitting.
I'm not sure whether it's hunger with Witter or whether his limitations have just been shown up now. He looked fantastic against opponents who retreat in dissaray, but take the cetnre of the ring, fire out the jab and keep a tight guard, and suddenly Witter starts to look ordinary, especially in the last 3rd of the fight when he starts gassing.
N'dou is another tackie, with a bit more boxing ability, but not much.

Yes, but the ease with which Kotelnik was able to box his ears off was worrying. It's not like Witter was throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Kotelnik for 8 rounds, he just ran out of ideas. Kotelink started working around the 6th round, firing off the jab and straight right, that's why Witter almost lost.
Hatton would still have been thudding away in the 12th round if Kotelnik was still standing, which I very much doubt he would have been.

But Witter didn't have a clue how to get past the high guard of Kotelink and ran out of ideas before he had even run out of breath. Don't think Kotelink came into the ring with any intention of winning just surviving, but think he'd take Witter fairly comfortably in a rematch. Witter can beat some top fighters but they have to be made for him.

Hmm, sounds to me you're making excuses for Witter to be honest. I've nothing against the lad, he's a talented fighter, but I think like a few of the ingle boys, there are some technical limitations.
Witter is not very good at winkling open opponents who keep it nice and tight and know how to fire back without leaving themselves open. A lot of his impressive KO run was built on the back of pretty dreadful opposition who looked in trouble even before the 1st bell. Mostly he would just get them on the ropes and unload, prompting the ref to eventually rescue them, because they didn't know how to offer any resistance.
Whilst Witter has genuine power, he is always going to have problems down the stretch, because his style which relies on movement rather than a nice tight guard is tiring. He is constantly jinking in and out of range and skirting the ring, and fires a lot of shots, many of which often miss. That is far more tiring than hitting someone's guard. someone like Sam peter will throw punches round after round, whether they hit thin air, arms, shoulders, chin or the canvas, and that's because they aren't wasting any energy on fancy footwork.

Team Rabah responds to N'dou's nonsense!
By Harry Summers
Lovemore N'dou is back to what he does best -- whining.
Throwing out a desperate plea to secure an undeserved payday against 140lb champ Ricky Hatton on May 13. Lovemore, haven't you had enough chances? How many title fights/eliminators does a guy have to lose before he's tossed into the scrapheap? Apparently in your case, not enough.
You call yourself the "gatekeeper" of the junior welterweight division? Mate, get a sense of reality. Your gate well and truly fell off the hinges for good against Junior Witter.
You say the rightful IBF mandatory Naoufel Ben Rabah "can't fight"? Answer this Lovemore. Then why did you knock back Rabah's countless challenges, including a $40,000, winner-take-all showdown in December 2004? That's a lot of money to fight somebody you proclaim is a nobody.
You say Ben Rabah isn't a "HBO TV fighter"? I didn't know the criteria to fight on HBO was going 2-5 in the USA, with the only two victories coming against mediocre lightweights.
Even more absurd is your comments that Ben Rabah hasn't "beaten anybody". Arturo Morua is somebody. When was the last time you beat a fighter ranked top 10 in all four major sanctioning bodies? Or shoot, even someone that is remotely world class? I'm sorry but South American taxi drivers don't count.
Lovemore, I find it amusing that you're concerned a potential Rabah-Hatton showdown will be a "mismatch". If I remember right, you and your former management made equally ludicrous remarks about Hatton not too long ago, questioning his "heart and courage" and claiming he can't fight a lick. Well, if Ben Rabah can't fight a lick, and Hatton can't fight a lick as you say, then HBO may be in for a damn fine treat!
The truth is, Lovemore, Hatton would outhustle you, and Ben Rabah would outspeed, outbox, and outsmart you.
You've proven you can't rise to the next plateau. Ben Rabah will.
Rabah is 10-0 (6 KO's) since joining Harry's Gym. The same gym which has guided Chris "The Dragon" John to the legitimate 126lb throne, with victories over Derrick "Smoke" Gainer and Juan Manuel Marquez. The same gym which is home to WBO #1 and undefeated 154lber, Daniel "The Rock" Dawson, and WBO #2 featherweight "Superman" Gairy St. Clair.
Fighters from Harry's Gym don't fight for money. They fight for glory. Ben Rabah is the true African warrior, you are not Lovemore.
Lovemore, I find your process of eliminating Vivian Harris from contention ironic too. You say that fight is a backwards step for Hatton, as Harris lost to Carlos Maussa, who Hatton just beat. Well, going along that way of rationalizing, Rabah beat Morua, who beat Maussa, who beat Harris, who beat Jose Luis Juarez, who beat you Lovemore. I guess you're eliminated too!
Lovemore N'dou, the boxing world is tired of you sending out more open letters than Fed Ex. Here's a thought. Win a fight that actually counts, then open your mouth. Maybe people will read your "press releases" for reasons other than unintentional comedic entertainment then.

Another one to add to the dismissal of N'Dou's bollocks: didn't Witter also hurt his right hand early in that fight ?jamesmcdonnell wrote:Two words....utter bollocks.

Good comeback from Rabah's camp. Thanks for that. That should have put N'Dou in his place.
