Australian title

Post by gph16 »

a serious question and not trolling
How can the Australian super Bantamweight be contested between a guy who is 5-4-2 and a guy who hasn't won a fight since 2012
where is the credibility in that ?

The Australian title should be the pinnacle of domestic boxing if we want our best to fight for it and then move onto regional fights :maybe:

Part of the answer is contained in your question :

".......and then move on to regional fights."

That's where our best in most weight divisions are. Contesting titles, no matter how dubious, that make them no longer eligible to hold Australian titles.

The last part had been changed at last October's AGM. They can until this year's AGM, when it'll be reviewed.

Obviously not many super bantams and these are the highest rated that haven't gone the regional path. Not much can be done about it without the cattle available.
