Josh Taylor's opponent on the Frampton undercard?

Post by Horse »

Does anyone know who Josh Taylor's opponent on the Frampton undercard next week is?

It would be good if his opponent wasn't just some waste of time, low-level journeyman.

Not heard anything yet. At this short notice it'll not be anyone half way decent. Some nice fights domestically this year for Taylor will do for me.

I'd settle for someone tough who can do rounds. Think fighting over there is primarily to get used to fighting away from home, big fight atmosphere, etc. I expect much more of his following fight, ideally a tough Commonwealth defence headlining a show at the Meadowbank or final British title eliminator

I'd settle for a decent journeyman.

I don't see the point if he's just going to be fighting the sort of opponent that Anthony Ogogo was fighting over there though.

I imagine it will be a run of the mill journeyman.

I like the look of Taylor, he should be looking to pick up the British title in the next few months. No point in waiting around, his performance against Ryan proves he can is already at (or indeed above) British level.

Will arguably be Taylor's 2nd best opponent, so he's not bad.
