I totally agree without being biased. Fights in the US and Germany are like watching Arsenal at the Emirates. The roof always comes off it the UK.

I wish Boxing as hot here as it is there. Mexican Fight fans and U.K. fight fans seem to be the most passionate fan bases for the sport around.

I seen an interview with IFL that he said they might struggle to get 90, because they need Club Wembley & the British Boxing Board of Control to agree the health & safety aspects of it.

Years ago they could just keep selling tickets as long as people could fit in the door. But there are all sorts of health and safety regulations in place these days. It often comes down to people not wanting to be sued if something goes wrong and they can be proved negligent.

It's also the London Mayor's office and the Transport police who restrict numbers. Eddie Hearn said they needed to request the extra 10,000 from those two organisations. You could probably get 120,000 in Wembley for a boxing match.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has given Eddie Hearn permission to extend the capacity by 10,000 to 90,000.

Calzaghe was at the tail end of his career by then, he had bigger fish to fry, I don't blame him really. His hands were so brittle by then. He cashed out with fights against Jones Jr (shameful) and Hopkins.
