The guy stopped Ormond so not much of a can, also travelled well to score wins over the unbeaten pairing of Zack Davies and Ilhami Aydemir
Does look like Szabo is feeling the pace now though

Ok you are right szaboo is amazing . He was getting the shit kicked out of him till he landed a lucky liver shot over or erode who then continued to beat the shit out of him in a rematch come on he's god awful and itv 4 commentators are making him sound as if he's actually trying to win . Believe me he isn'tBoxing Prospect wrote:Been to Preston? No one wants to stay there longer than they have to ;)Vincent stevenson wrote:Are you serious szabo is a complete tomato can . He's definitely not awful.Has a decent skill set. Davies boxing well. Very easy to hit think With the Hype I've seen on Twitter I'm not so sure.. Has hit Szabo a few times clean and not put him down. Szabo gave Ohara Davies a decent fight.. I think just below the likes of Josh Taylor. He should fight Ohara next...Good body shot to finish

"Really talented" and "amazing" are a world apart, he's a talented kiddy here even if he's not going to win. Daviex was a 1.08 favourite on betfair, and is being forced to fight harder than he has in the past. He's proving to be a better test for Davies than countrymen like Nobert Nesempati have been for the likes of Callum Davies.Boxing Prospect wrote:Ok you are right szaboo is amazing . He was never winning, he's never let his hands go enough to win more than a round or two, but there is genuine talent there. A lot needs to be done with that talent for him to go places, but he sure isn't a can here to fall over when he's first hit, like so many Hungarians have been willing to do in the past. Would like to see him fight in 6 rounders over here on a regular basis, theres enough there to test a prospect.

Grow up Robbie is way way beyond this type of opponent . He could have taken him out a lot earlier if he wanted to szabo was just there to get the shit kicked out of him and Richie would have you believe he's a viable opponent that is trying to win . That was an absolute sickener of a body shot by Davies Jr, landed right in the perfect spot,i liked the look of him he had a bit of class about him a bit rough around the edges and eager at times but understandable headlining on TV for the 1st time,he was a bit all over the place with his switch hitting but as the fight wore on he started to pull away from Szabo and break him down,Szabo was awkward and always a danger but Davies Jr was landing easily before the end and although Szabo looked happy to take the shots I doubt he thought Davies would be able to hurt him that bad,ya beauty

I'm against journeyman mismatches and fighters coming in with no ambition as much as the next man but you cant criticize Szabo, he was perfect for this stage of Davies Jr,considering it was a replacement for Limond it was sound, I never gave him any rounds but I thought going in that ITV/Poxon had took a risk bringing him in so i'd rather give Davies Jr the credit for getting the KOno1man wrote:Szabo a very good opponent on such short notice could of been a lot lot worse
I seen both Szabo/Ormond fights and although I cant remember both vividly, I do remember Stephen struggling before getting creased with a body shot, wasnt he down earlier too?, either way it was far from the domination VS said, the rematch too was close and Ormond only just won
Re: Robbie Davies Jr vs Zoltan Szabo
I agree the 2nd fight was very close I had Szabo sneaking it by a round or so.. I think Robbie Davies Jnr has nice shot selections.. Decent power not sure how much that will be at the higher level., He got hit quite easy which worries me.. In my honest opinion I think he beats Ohara Davies and has good fights with Nurse and Caterall but would struggle v Josh Taylorhandsofstone wrote:I'm against journeyman mismatches and fighters coming in with no ambition as much as the next man but you cant criticize Szabo, he was perfect for this stage of Davies Jr,considering it was a replacement for Limond it was sound, I never gave him any rounds but I thought going in that ITV/Poxon had took a risk bringing him in so i'd rather give Davies Jr the credit for getting the KOno1man wrote:Szabo a very good opponent on such short notice could of been a lot lot worse

I absolutely guarantee he'd take issue with the time limit at least once a show.handsofstone wrote:I'd love to see English on Countdown, I can imagine him insisting that his interpretation of spelling is infact correct and he is a direct descendant of Henry VIII
Re: Robbie Davies Jr vs Zoltan Szabo
I really liked Szabo - thought he had a decent skill set and attitude to the fight. Did he have much amateur background.
Thought he had some talent - not saying he is a world beater, but would like to see a promoter take a chance on him - e.g. give him the opportunity to be the left column name.

Yeah he could end up like a similar Khomitsky win some/lose some type of fighterstujones wrote:I really liked Szabo - thought he had a decent skill set and attitude to the fight. Did he have much amateur background.

Re: Robbie Davies Jr vs Zoltan Szabo
Szabo could be very good with more ambition, he has very nice moves, especially when he wants to defend
Re: Robbie Davies Jr vs Zoltan Szabo
When I saw Szabo as the replacement must admit I was suprised.Better opp than Id thought at that short notice.Problem was he was prob brought in and wasnt training. He looked knackered thats what his hands down trying to roll use reflexes. With a good team and prep time Szabo would been a good opponent.

He's a friend of mine, a boxrec'er, an experienced mc across loads of sports and a very good bloke. He's also extremely successful in his job and has a lovely partner and kids. I don't think fightfaninfrance is going to bother him.fightfaninfrance wrote:Is anyone else ready to goooooooooo toe to tooooooooooe!

Ps also had his own radio show with a lot of big names on regularly, tackled Camp Eddie on StubHub for me, even saying I'd asked the question....
