I never believe a word what comes out of Khan's mouth....
Re: Khan v Brook off
The same must surely apply to Khan taking a 50/50 then surely? If he [Kell Brook] had that much confidence in beating me, then he’d take it in a heartbeat

Fwank said when Brook left him his dad was a nightmare.
Re: Khan v Brook off
Surely this would be the biggest payday of Khan's career too?Eddie was in the meeting. He agrees with me now and he’s p*ssed off with Kell. It’ll have been his [Kell Brook’s] biggest payday. He’d have got more money than he did against GGG. Forget about the percentage – it’s all about how much he’s going to make. It’ll be a lot more than he’ll get against a mandatory, or against anyone else. It just seems to me like he wants to pull out of this fight, and out of the Errol Spence fight, and wants to go back to fighting people like JoJo Dan and Kevin Bizier.
Re: Khan v Brook off
His Dad isn't that bad! Just wants what's best for his son that's all. He is a businessman so 70-30 isn't good business regardless of how confident they are.

not exactly, Khan isn't stupid.davie wrote:The same must surely apply to Khan taking a 50/50 then surely? If he [Kell Brook] had that much confidence in beating me, then he’d take it in a heartbeat
Khan knows he brings more to the table commercially and he also knows he isn't the favourite going into the fight.
So if he is more than likely going to lose he has to financially make that worth his while...
Re: Khan v Brook off
Just out of curiosity, what is it that Khan brings to the table?wesshaw1985 wrote:not exactly, Khan isn't stupid.davie wrote:The same must surely apply to Khan taking a 50/50 then surely? If he [Kell Brook] had that much confidence in beating me, then he’d take it in a heartbeat

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a grudge opponent. They're both local lads at the top of their game. Seems natural that they'd want to fight one another. Well that's for Brook anyway, clearly Khan doesn't feel the same.sweetscience wrote:ask brook... he been wanting to fight him for 5 yearsRob3_142 wrote:Just out of curiosity, what is it that Khan brings to the table?wesshaw1985 wrote: not exactly, Khan isn't stupid.

Re: Khan v Brook off
Brook has wanted Khan in the same way that Witter wanted Hatton. Both good fighters but lower in profile than a domestic rival. Hatton, and Khan, chased the massive fights, and Khan ultimately got one ahead of Brook in the shape of Canelo. And whilst it's legitimate to say Khan didn't deserve Floyd, it's not hard to say he deserved one just as much as the likes of Ortiz and Maidana.Rob3_142 wrote:I don't think there's anything wrong with having a grudge opponent. Brook would need to accept that he's the B side to this fight and always has been. Perhaps less so than he was - Golovkin has clearly raised his profile. But it still feels like a 60/40 fight in Khan's favour for me.

Khan is richer and internationally more well known than Kell.
Khan brings a position of power to the table, he does not need this fight...
Re: Khan v Brook off
He is a bigger draw and will generate more interest and more ££s & particularly $$sRob3_142 wrote:Just out of curiosity, what is it that Khan brings to the table?wesshaw1985 wrote:not exactly, Khan isn't stupid.davie wrote:

But as I said, if Khan wants to make that statement, it has to apply both ways. Or is Khan conceding that he isn't as confident of the win as Kell?
Kells the one asking for an even split, surely if Khan isn't willing to settle for that in a heartbeat, it says more about his confidenceIf he [Kell Brook] had that much confidence in beating me, then he’d take it in a heartbeat

Re: Khan v Brook off
Is Khan that much of a bigger draw? I didn't think so. Regardless, just make it a 50-50 split and both end up doing very well. Simple.
Re: Khan v Brook off
I'd say Khan alone brings in any US interest in the fight.Boxerbeetle wrote:Is Khan that much of a bigger draw? I didn't think so. Regardless, just make it a 50-50 split and both end up doing very well. Simple.
You could say the same thing about loads of fights to be fair. Floyd's biggest opponent financially by a mile was Pacquaio, and vice versa. It was still a 60/40 fight.
Re: Khan v Brook off
Why are people giving Khan shit if Brook altered the demands?
Surely that's on Brook.
Surely that's on Brook.
Re: Khan v Brook off
Is there anything in the rules to prevent suce a thing as 60/40 or 70/30 in favour of the winner? Surely that would show where the confidence lies, Id imagine Brook would jump at that deal and dont believe for a second that Khan would.
Surely Khan doesnt believe that he deserves 70% of the split? Id think that he has came up with that in the hope that Hearn counter offers with 60/40.
Amir Khan truly infuriates me, this whole thing and the chasing after Mayweather etc. I like watching him fight but hate listening to him with all the nonsense that he speaks.

If you were in Khans position you wouldn't simply take 50/50...Boxerbeetle wrote:Is Khan that much of a bigger draw? I didn't think so. Regardless, just make it a 50-50 split and both end up doing very well. Simple.
Re: Khan v Brook off
In fairness he was on Floyd undercards looking absolutely great, and he'd beaten Maidana who landed two fights with Floyd. It's not like he was a Pacquaio, Cotto or Canelo but it becomes very hard to argue Khan didn't deserve a shot at Mayweather at some point but Ortiz, Guerrero and Berto all did.Emmseegee wrote:Is there anything in the rules to prevent suce a thing as 60/40 or 70/30 in favour of the winner? Khan Brook isn't a 50/50 fight in my opinion.

Is he a businessman though or just an interfering amateur with an inflated sense of his own importance ?bigB wrote:His Dad isn't that bad! Just wants what's best for his son that's all. He is a businessman so 70-30 isn't good business regardless of how confident they are.
He was wearing sunglasses indoors during the publicity tour for the GGG fight - always a good indicator of a deluded mind.
Re: Khan v Brook off
I wouldn't trust anything to do with the Khan's to be honest, bunch of slippery snakes. I think this is 60/40 fight territory, yes Khan is the bigger name but Brook vs Khan is the biggest British fight for Khan that makes him serious dough in the UK.
I'd say after his splattering by Canelo, Khan in the US would probably end up having to rebuild against Algieri types again or become a 'name that gets KO'd' by whoever they serve him to next.
All part and parcel of negotiations I guess, but if I were Brook I wouldn't be taking 30% either.

Is Khan he bigger draw ??? ..... Can't fill the arens's in the U.S .... there must be a reason why he's not boxed at home for years. After Kell's showing against GGG and him still be IBF champion I think he brings more than enough to the table.....I mean how many times do you need to see Khan knock out
