Exactly.

The Dillian Whtye fight was perfect but they turned it down. I actually don't know who would win that would have been a very good indicator of where he is.

Would have been an equivalent learning fight to when Tyson fought Chisora the first time.

Parker signed with Top rank recently and they have mentioned an American debut. No chance they will be coming over here for the fight. It could be that they try and stage this in America where Peter Fury (when Tyson fought Cunningham ) could not get in. Not sure if this is still the case though.

Not sure how it would work Peter going to New Zealand would his past affect him getting in there ?? I have no idea....

Would not be sensible taking the biggest fight of your career without your trainer/father.

There seems so many things getting in the way of this fight it's hard to make a reasonable case for it happening never mind who wins. But Hughie really hasn't fought anyone who's really at domestic level for ages. By the time the fight happens, if it's next up for both, he'll have not fought in a year. Parker seems to have a decent standing in NZ; apparently the Ruiz fight did well there and the Burger King sponsorship must be worth a few quid. Hughie is essentially unknown over here. Chuck in the drug test fail scenario and what is the realistic outcome?

I reckon it's probably most likely that Warren will point out that the barriers to the fight being made now were too big and Hughie will get on a few Warrington/Nurse bills. He needs his profile raising a bit really.

Based off of what Peter's convictions were for (quite large quantities of drug dealing I believe) - I imagine he'd have a hard time getting into quite a few countries.

I fancy Parker to win this fairly comfortably and will put a large amount on him if the price stays the same.

It's impossible to pick Hughie for the simple reason he has NEVER fought fully fit. He needs 2-3 warm up fights without his skin condition. A lot of talent but until I see him perform 100% healthy I'm not convinced he's healthy.

Health, foreign soil and step up in class. To many variables to pick Hughie for my liking.

Hughie is being terribly managed.

They must be delusional if they think that they're going to steamroller either Parker or Wilder. You won't be able to jab Wilder off for 12 rounds. Eventually he's going to catch Hughie flush a few times before sniffing the canvas. Won't go too far beyond 6 rounds.

Parker on the other hand, despite his less than impressive performance against Ruiz, his development in the last 12 months has been text book. Made the perfect step up with Takam, Dimitrenko and Ruiz in 3 of his last 4 fights. It's taken him rounds, he's had to come up against some tricky opposition, and came through on both occasions. He'll just manage a ring rusty Hughie with great ease. Might be close in points, but see Parker doing the job with a minimum of fuss.

Why do you mention it being too early if you believe Hughie will win? Not really too early if he does that...

Reading between the lines Saunders is travelling to Japan to fight Ryota Murata.

So Hughie and Peter were at the press conference but no fight announced.

Also still no announcement from UKAD regarding the hearing for the positive drugs test.

Funny that when I read anything from Parkers team (arum and the nz promoter Duco I think ) on sites like boxing scene there is no mention of Hughie.

No chance Parker is coming over here for Hughie.

Murata in Tokyo, Macau or in Las Vegas has been rumoured for some time in the Japanese press. Teiken held a press conference today about a March 2nd show (Yamanaka Vs Carlson), but Murata was never going to be on that card (TV issues), suspect Teiken have got Murata Vs Saunders to announce in the coming weeks.

The rumour has grown on Japanese blogs today after Saunders' comments.

cant see it myself.
it would be an ideal addition to the April 8th M.E.N show, cant see Flanagan/Petrov and Smith/Williams selling anywhere near enough tickets...

It's a good fight but it would not draw at all here. Parker does in Nz and is PPV. Also Arum has talked about him fighting in Ameica as well.

Still the UKAD issue is unresolved and it is pushing two years !!
