There'll always be guys that make for boring fights and clinch excessively. Just because some guys that do that are retiring doesn't mean you won't see it anymore.
I've never seen Mayweather as an excessive clincher. Don't know where you're getting that from. Maybe you get bored watching him outbox guys.

there is difference between a and d level boxer doing it. these 4 mentoined were a class and all wrestler....when all 4 out, than we have no a class boxers who clinch a lot.....maybe lara, but he is more of a runner
yeah sure and in maidana II he clinched rarely, good joke...come on man

I didn't say Mayweather didn't clinch more in some particular fights, but during his whole career it wasn't a go to move for him the way it has been for Wlad or someone like John Ruiz.

yeah you right. as pretty boy floyd he was athletic speed puncher and since the de la hoya fight he was a boring track runner who rarely punched and ouotclassed most opponents only losing 2 fights, 1 draw

I personally had him losing the first Castillo fight, and the first Maidana fight, but the 1st Maidana fight was close enough I wouldn't call it a robbery. I didn't think any of his other fights were all that close so I don't know what you're referring to as the draw.

Maidana fought dirty, so Mayweather's clinching was explainable.

You seem to have an issue with defence first "boring" fighters
You dig out Lara here and Floyd, who lets be honest, is not a wrestler/fouler of Wlad/Ward stature
