Well firstly nobody is suggesting that Brook would make those demands against Pacquiao, and Khan is not Pacquiao. Secondly, Pacquiao wouldn't ask for a %, he'd ask for a purse, and the other guy can have the rest. Unfortunately the purse will be something like 5 million.daviddee wrote:It's simple of Brook wants 50/50 split go fight Spence Jnr.. Not only will even Fast Car struggle to make that fight but if/when Brook loses his profile will drop.. Does anyone think for a minute that Pacquiao will go 50/50 with Brook.
I don't understand, Brook would have no options, but Khan would have 6-7? What more lucrative or at least equal with a 50-60% split of the monies earned against Brook, would Khan have available to him? 50% would easily surpass the monies he earned against Canelo. Tell me what options Khan has which pays him a fraction of the money he earns against Brook?Best he will get there is 60/40 and the fight in the uk which is nowhere near as big as the Khan fight... After that Brook has nowhere to go?? Hearn said it yesterday up to 154 to fight an eliminator, How much will he get for that £300,000?? Then one of the light middleweight champs apart from Canelo which he won't get where is the money fight.... 30% of £30 million is a lot more than 50% of £1-2 million.. Khan has 6 or 7 fights that can make very good money.
The reason Brook would go to 154 is because he struggles to make the weight at 147. He'd have to take a step back to take two forward. It's inevitable to happen anyway. Brook is not looking at ending his career at Khan, Khan probably is. Khan wants the one final big pay day, and then call it a day. He identifies that Brook is the one to give him that, but also identifies that Brook wants this fight thinking they'll eventually concede. Khan doesn't make this fight, I think it's conceivable that he doesn't earn the same amount of money, even if he take 2-3 fights more.
