BBC Sportdaq...

Post by jeej »

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sportdaq/

I've just signed up to this and I've created a Boxrec group. If you haven't joined Sportdaq yet, do so, then to join the Boxrec group just let me know your Spordaq User ID Number and I'll add you.

Nothing serious, just a bit of friendly competition. I presume you have a rough idea as to how this works, but... if you dont it is quite simple...

You have £10k to initially spend on shares in sports personalities. The more a sports person appears in the press, the higher their value becomes, and vice-versa. Every Saturday dividends are given out. I've done well in the celebrity version of this game by choosing to trade just once a week every Saturday. But, if you have the time and patience you can day trade too. But to receive a dividend you must have owned the shares for at least a week to the next Saturday (hence why I only trade on Saturdays).

I hope a few people join and this isnt a total wash out!

Final note; it's all free, no money involved. So Lirva, if you want to join in, you can do so without consulting your conscience first. :TU:

Well sounds like you've spent all your money already! You'll have to hope that your shares in Hatton rise in price, then sell some or all of them. As you have bought so many though, I would suggest not doing anything till NEXT Saturday, that way at least you will get paid a good dividend.

The thing I always try to do is only spend about half of my available money on a share I think will do well. If after a week the share price is less than what I originally paid, I just hang onto them and wait for them to rise, then soon as they get above what I paid, I dump them.

When you dont have much money it is good to have shares in at least a few diff people. Guess you know for next time.

Ha ha ok, well just to let you know...

I've spent all my money (bar £2.01 I had left over!) on 3 personalities. Spent £2582.57 on one, £2535.91 on another and then £4879.51 on the one I thought would do particularly well this week. We shall see!

Christ, I did this ages ago. I've started afresh now, can't remember how to be successful, probably because I wasn't the first time.

Eh, please note who's the village forum idiot here, but where do you get your ID from. I take it you need that to sign me up jeej?
