Re: PBC vs. HBO non-PPV Fight Schedule?
Main Events dropped their eight-figure lawsuit against Haymon for allegedly violating the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act.
Top Rank also dropped their second $100m lawsuit against Haymon for allegedly violating the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act., in preference to settle as a means to establish a business partnership of sorts with the PBC chief.
By the way, Top Rank's first attempt to sue Haymon was dismissed immediately because they couldn't prove injury.
Yesterday a federal judge dismissed Golden Boy's twenty month long $300m lawsuit that claimed that Haymon broke the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act. before it even reached court.
In fact, the judge publicly cited Golden Boy's own hypocrisy in terms of business practices, as there was evidence that proved they were the ones who refused to do business with Haymon.
I wonder how many lawsuits it'll take to convince people that idle gossip simply cannot be considered as fact, since the only thing that matters are the events that actually take place in the real world?

"Easter-Cruz reaches 1.5 million viewers over two showings on Bounce TV"
"Bounce aired an immediate encore of Premier Boxing Champions – The Next Round after the live event and the two telecasts combined reached 1.5 million viewers."
Here's a list of the PBC fight cards scheduled for the next three weeks:
• Date = 18/02/17; Network = Showtime; Broner vs. Granados; Title = Non-title bout
• Date = 18/02/17; Network = Showtime; Avanesyan vs. Peterson; Title = WBA World welterweight title
• Date = 21/02/17; Network = Fox; Flores vs. Nguyen; Title = Non-title bout
• Date = 25/02/17; Network = Fox; Wilder vs. Washington; Title = WBC World heavyweight title
• Date = 25/02/17; Network = Fox; Harrison vs. Hurd; Title = Non-title bout
• Date = 04/03/17; Network = CBS; Thurman vs. Garcia; Title = WBA Super & WBC welterweight titles
• Date = 04/03/17; Network = CBS; Lubin vs. Cota; Title = Non-title bout
What non-PPV bouts has HBO got scheduled over the same time period? And do you think Jim Lampley, an HBO employee, regrets his harsh criticism of the PBC?![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

It's hilarious you keep pulling this up. It just shows how stupid you are. HBO is a network, not a promotional company. HBO vs Showtime would at least be a legit comparison.

Read the first post in this thread:SaadOffTheDeck wrote:It's hilarious you keep pulling this up. It just shows how stupid you are. HBO is a network, not a promotional company. HBO vs Showtime would at least be a legit comparison.
Criticise without reading and you only weaken your own claims… and you have the sheer audacity to mention the word “hilarious” in reference to my factually-correct posts?Enlightened-One wrote:Prior to October last year, many people that frequented this forum aggressively derided the PBC and were even celebrating the rumour that it had gone out of business, despite the fact that Al Haymon was paying for the privilege to televise our beloved sport on several major US free-to-air networks.
A few months ago, the host of HBO’s ‘The Fight Game’, Jim Lampley, was very critical of the PBC and even boasted about the format of fight cards being televised by subscription channels were far superior than what was being presented by the commercial free-to-air networks.
He seemed to relish the “likelihood” of Al Haymon’s fighters becoming free agents and stated that there was far more to running a successful television boxing series than spending big money.
A few weeks later, the PBC announced their fight schedule...

Yeah, ‘cause in your mind, real-world facts are boring! It’s much more fun to criticise everything without reading beforehand. FFS!SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I rarely read any of your posts, none twice. It's a stupid thread from a stupid man.

the facts are that you're comparing apples to dildos. I don't expect you to understand. You're very, very, stupid.

Why do you criticise those that follow the sport of boxing on a forum that specialises in discussing boxing? HBO criticise the PBC and I simply point out how their criticism has backfired on them.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:the facts are that you're comparing apples to dildos. I don't expect you to understand. To be honest, you're absolutely right; I don’t understand the reason why people like yourself insist on being extremely critical of the information submitted by others, whilst openly admitting to not having read the context or even the info. beforehand.

No need to read it, nobody is representing HBO on this thread. It's just you comparing a network to a promotional company. the title alone shows how clueless you are. If you simply criticized whatever lampley said as being incorrect and went on your way you wouldn't be such a moron. It's this constant desire to validate your own stupidity that makes you such a joke.

You're the worst kind of troll, a long winded one. I just catch some of your stuff by accident before I'm logged in. Taking the time to bring up old threads that only you comment in is a sad state of affairs. HBO's programming has been nonexistent, they're no longer investing heavily in a sport that is dead to rights in the states. PBC has been much better this year than last year though they still have a lot of largely inactive Boxers. That's it, it's not a fight. Get a life.
