If GGG collects all mw belts in 2017 but ODLH and his gingerboy...

Post by apollo creed »

Assuming GGG gets all the belts but Oscar and Canelo will keep prolonging this fight as much as they can till GGG really gets old and shot-to -$hit then with a little help of the judges Canelo beats GGG and he takes all those belts. How boxing history will remember Golovkin ?

It's clear that Oscar and Canelo will want every advantage in the book if this fight will take place. IMO if GGG gets all the belts and the fight with Canelo doesn't happen in 2017, he should move up and challenge the champions from the smw division. In this way he would dare to be great.

Canelo vs JCCJr may have a rematch if the 1st fight is competitive.

Canelo will get old waiting on GGG to get old enough that he can gain some advantage.
Canelo is younger than GGG in terms of age, but he's not young in boxing years.
Been a pro for 16 years.
"Dare to be great" at 168? Against who? lol

DeGale and Zurdo are very good fights for GGG. He can't bring back prime RJJ or Calzaghe to fight them.

I'll remember GGG as the best Middleweight Boxer i've ever seen. No matter what happens from here on out, he's the best that i've ever seen. With that said, I think that people are so focused on this GGG/Canelo drama that the Jacobs fight is an afterthought. In my opinion, the Jacobs fight presents more of a challenge to GGG than the Canelo fight.

Jacobs is a SMW that sucks down to MW. GGG has never come close to fighting a boxer like Jacobs so far. Jacobs is big. Jacobs is fast. Jacobs has power and ability.

GGG's KO streak ends in this fight and I honestly feel that he will have to gut this one out late. Jacobs is not collecting a check in this one. He's fighting at home and he's not afraid to go with GGG like most fighters are.

If GGG gets the WBO belt and the Canelo fight does not happen in 2017, he should just move up to 168 and forget Canelo. He may miss out of a few million but there are big fights at 168, especially in the UK, and Canelo will always be remembered for ducking him.

Indeed, Jacobs may give GGG hell. Very good fight.

Agree. GGG should forget Canelo. He would make enough money with DeGale, Zurdo and Groves.

We will know from the Canelo-Chavez fight, whether Canelo and ODLH are scared or only ODLH.
If Canelo truly wants to fight GGG, he won't take it easy on Chavez to make it look like a competitive fight (which it isn't) and knock him out like he should. If he takes it easy and makes it look competitive, making a rematch, then we can know for certain both Canelo and ODLH are running from GGG.

Good point. But first Jr has to make the weight which will probably make him look like a skeleton.

If Chavez comes close to 164.5, it won't be.

I hope Zurdo fights a winner of Callum Smith vs DeGale/Groves and then Golovkin fights a winner.

As much as I like the G-Train, and I like him an awful lot, I think Hagler in his prime was the best middleweight I have ever seen with a prime Bernard 2nd, then Triple G third.

No way Jacobs makes it to the final bell. I wouldn't be surprised if it's over within 6 rounds.

Funny feeling that Jacobs may last less than Brook.
