Are people staying up for this? I don't have Sky Sports anymore, but it's such a good card that I'm tempted to get a Now TV weekend pass. Trouble is, I wouldn't be able to record it and staying up til Vegas time will probably ruin my sleep for the entire week. I wish I was young again.

I'm gonna stay up for this one,i might try and catch a bit of shut eye before it starts, I'm going to see T2 at the flicks tonight so should be home and settled for 11, might give me enough time to grab 40 winksBoxerbeetle wrote:Are people staying up for this? I'm buzzing for this one, I'm sick that Selby/Barros got pulled though, I'm hoping Taylor looks good too

i have staying up for fights down to a fine art now. i have done it so often my body knows what the plan is.
I get 2 grams of weed in on friday so i have it ready and dont have to muck about saturday. Bang a 3 hour kip in from about 2pm, wake up feeling like shit, go for a run, nice hot bath and chill out for a couple of hours.
my mate who i watch all the fights with gets to mine at 22.30 for match of the day and we just get stoned all night from then onwards. When boxing is finished at about 5.30am i drag the dog out of his bed so he gets a walk round the block, Try not to wake the misses getiing into bed at about 6am and grab 3 hours kip.
Grab another little kip on the sofa sunday lunchtime, an early night and im brand new for work Monday morning

Vegas won't care about five lives schedule. 4.30, I'd say.

Christ, Olvera was tough,i know he was wobbled a couple of times but he never went down, he can take a shot and he never stopped throwing punches, Taylor landed solid left hands and bodyshots throughout but he took his lumps
I'm kinda glad Taylor's KO streak is over as you can tell it was on his mind when fighting, he was loading up from the off and took a lot of shots he shouldn't have by staying in range too long, fighting on a big show in Vegas wouldn't have helped him settle down either, I think this fight is a reminder to him and his team that he's far from the finished article yet and there's no need to rush him, hopefully now the KO streak is over Taylor will stick to his boxing and the KOs will come
It was a great little fight though and Olvera came to win,im sure Showtime wont mind seeing Talor again and I wouldn't mind seeing Olvera again

David Benavidez takes out Sherali Mamajonov in 2. Don't know the opponent but Benavidez looked impressive, moves to 17-0 with 16 KOs. Definitely one to watch.

David Benavidez looking good again, looks as strong as an ox, great left hook upstairs and down
Even at this stage a fight between him Callum Smith and Cox would be fun, all strong and good body punchers

It's a bit of a concern that they have hardly mentioned it.
