UK Flyweights by the end of 2017

How do people reckon our guys at this weight division will be doing by the end of the year. The guys I'm thinking of are Satchell, Patel, Charlie and Sunny Edwards and Andrew Selby, hopefully I'm not leaving anyone glaring out there. Obviously Selby has enormous pedigree, will he fight for a WT by the end of the year? I notice the European champ is an undefeated Frenchman who is ranked top 20 by boxrec, he's travelled away from home and won by KO, just glossing over his record he looks quite tasty. Will Charlie Edwards or Selby be put in with this guy and win this year? The consensus seems to be that Sunny Edwards is a better than his brother but obviously he is very young. How far along will he be by the end of the year? And with Prince Patel is there any danger of him having more than 2 fights this year?

Selby vs Diale is a good test, but I don't see him going the Europen route, I dare say the Sanigars have intentions of making a splash in Japan (we almost got Haskins vs Omori and Selby vs Hosono) so Selby vs Ioka might be the focus for this year.

Selby is the only one of the bunch who has the ability at world level, none of the others do.

Satchell's career has been a total write off for about the past 3 years, i'd imagine any momentum he had has completely gone

Selby vs Diale is a good test, but I don't see him going the Europen route, I dare say the Sanigars have intentions of making a splash in Japan (we almost got Haskins vs Omori and Selby vs Hosono) so Selby vs Ioka might be the focus for this year.

Selby is the only one of the bunch who has the ability at world level, none of the others do.

I'll be very interested to see how Selby pans out. i think it will depend on matchmaking and styles, I definitely think he can win fights at world level against certain fighters with his skillset.

Not sure Ioka is *that* fighter but I'd love to find out

Just seen Charlie Edwards has moved up. Not sure that's a great move for him as he didn't strike me as someone big for the weight looking at him when he boxed. He obviously came up short at World level but I don't think there's any shame in stepping back to UK level winning a British title and then going for the European belt and getting experience defending that with the odd fight here and there against guys ranked 10-25 in the World to gauge progress.

he'd have to fight Selby if he wanted to go for the British title for starters, something he's already refused to do. I think Selby has also said in interviews about wanting the European title first half of this year

One site has Selby eying up Zou Shiming, can't see ou holding a title long enough for that to happen, unless he's properly protected in which case he won't be getting in there with Selby anyway!
