Loma vs Sosa
I am quite pleased that this fight has been made. I was very impressed with Sosa when he fought Smith in Monaco. I think this is a tougher fight for Loma than Walters, however I still fully expect him to win.
Elsewhere what are everyones thoughts on Gervonta Davis fighting Walters to set up a showdown with Loma?

Re: Loma vs Sosa
Lomachenko is on another level, dominant display with a likely KO.
I think Gervonta Davis gets picked apart too. Lot of hype surrounding this kid. Looks quite special but a bit early for him to be stepping to this level

Re: Loma vs Sosa
Sosa is awful.
Lomachenko should be aiming higher than this.

Re: Loma vs Sosa
Was having this discussion with a Mexican sports writer the other day. He reckons the ONLY fight out there is Loma v Mikey Garcia. And Garcia wins as he has 'the power'.Stuarty30 wrote:Who? Up a weight? Down a weight?Horse wrote:Sosa is awful.

I was surprised by the Davis Pedroza outcome. But there's no rush for Davis. He and Walters would be a good fight although it's about time Steven Smith got another title shot

All Smiths should recieve at least 2 title shots every 12 months until they win oneTaansend wrote:Was having this discussion with a Mexican sports writer the other day. After being the 1st 4 brothers to all win Lonsdale belts, I think their next aim should be the 1st 4 brothers to hold WBA "Regular" titlesStuarty30 wrote:All Smiths should recieve at least 2 title shots every 12 months until they win oneTaansend wrote:Was having this discussion with a Mexican sports writer the other day. Re: Loma vs Sosa
Too soon for Davis no way his team will let him in with Loma this year although it would be great if they did. Most of that list have just fought and aren't much better than Sosa if at all.Horse wrote:Same weight.Stuarty30 wrote:Who? Up a weight? Down a weight?

Sosa is just a strong plodder.
Re: Loma vs Sosa
He beats everyone on that list comfortably.. Sosa is a unification fight. I hope he wins and moves up to lightweight.. Mickey Garcia v Lomachenko is the big fight I want to see.. Can see Garcia's team staying away from that one. I heard it's been offered at Feather and Super Feather and refusedHorse wrote:Same weight.Stuarty30 wrote:Who? Up a weight? Down a weight?

I'd like to see Loma-Salido II and then maybe Davis next year depending on how he progresses.
Re: Loma vs Sosa
That's your opinion, but he's not done it yet and already has a loss to one person on that list.daviddee wrote:He beats everyone on that list comfortably..

He should stay and clear house, if he can.

Honestly, do you see any of those names beating Lomachenko, even the guy who already has?
I think most of them are not even competitive

Lomachenko might as well retire then.davie wrote:That's what we trade in here Horse, opinions.

He's beaten everyone (in theory).
Re: Loma vs Sosa
Have you watched the Salido fight?? Anyone who matters in boxing know who won that fight. Salido cheated before and during the fight.. Lomachenko was a bit green in the pro's can see now just how brutal he is... Why give Salido the pay day?? As for the rest I don't see many of them taking the fight.. What is their to prove Walters was probably the best outwith Lomachenko in the division.. Davis might well be next best but he has a very hard fight against Liam Walsh which he may lose..Horse wrote:That's your opinion, but he's not done it yet and already has a loss to one person on that list.daviddee wrote:He beats everyone on that list comfortably..

Lomachenko is the best Amateur ever... He wants to leave a legacy and be the best boxer ever.. To do that he needs to move up and beat some superstars. A fight against Garcia will be his biggest win and probably make him p4p king no but your right horse he should fight Salido or Berchelt.
Re: Loma vs Sosa
To avenge his defeat and because Salido is one of the top fighters in the division.daviddee wrote:Have you watched the Salido fight?? Anyone who matters in boxing know who won that fight. What is there to prove? What is there to prove?!daviddee wrote:As for the rest I don't see many of them taking the fight.. What is their to prove Walters was probably the best outwith Lomachenko in the division..
How about proving that he can beat all of those world class fighters?
Why bother fighting anyone?
Then Lomachenko can fight Walsh if he wins.daviddee wrote:Davis might well be next best but he has a very hard fight against Liam Walsh which he may lose..

Weight-jumping is overrated.
Re: Loma vs Sosa
He is the best in the division.. None of the fighters you have mention are elite fighters. They are just fringe World Class.. Lomachenko is an Elite fighter.. The best Featherweight and Superfeather weight in the world.. Next to prove he is the best lightweight in the world.. See how this works.. Meaningful fights for probably the best fighter on the planet. Salido has drawn his last 2 fights to Martinez and Vargas. Whatever you are sniffing can I please have someHorse wrote:To avenge his defeat and because Salido is one of the top fighters in the division.daviddee wrote:Have you watched the Salido fight?? No, they are world class.daviddee wrote:He is the best in the division.. None of the fighters you have mention are elite fighters. They are just fringe World Class..

Lomachenko should stop running and prove himself at super featherweight.

Since you bizarrely had Smith beating him by three points, claiming that 'Sosa was wack' and that 'Smith won it easily', your negativity in this thread comes as no surprise. Would Loma-Smith be a better fight in your opinion?

In disappointed because I thought I was going to be Jezreel Corrales who is the actual WBA champion.
It does seem like Salido ducked the fight.
