TYRELL BIGGS

Post by overhand_right »

i know these types of posts are usually ignored, but should it not be added that tyrell biggs was stopped on a cut in his 1988 loss to francesco damiani?

otherwise it gives the impression that tyrell was knocked out, which is incorrect.

There are plenty fights that I ( and I guess that goes for the rest of the editors as well) haven't seen, so when it's left out that a fight was stopped on cuts it's usually because we don't know

I also believe that there are thousands upon thousands of fights in our database that were stopped on cuts but don't have that comment.

My point is this; a KO supposedly means a "clean" knockout when the ref counts to ten. When you see TKO next to a result pretty much anything goes.
I agree with you that Tyrell was stopped on cuts (a very bad one if my memory serves me well) since I did at least see part of that fight on TV, my point is that it is impossible to "police" every kind of TKO result with a comment underneath.

I added the comment that the fight was stopped on cuts. I agree it's impossible to know of every fight why it was stopped, but in the case that you DO know, then it should be added. Thanks Overhand, for pointing it out.
