ffs its like a dirty grandad at a party. Eubank Sr just cannot let go.
Re: Round-By-Round - Chris Eubank jr vs. Renold Quinlan - February 4th 2017
Surely the trainers would notice his lack of stamina in training ? Maybe just nerves ?

Here we go with the MAIN event of the evening, for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching around the world...

This is what Sr did when he won the title carefully selected WBO opposition to stay safe. Jr is going down the same way now but with IBObrilo33 wrote:will eubank ever fight someone world class every again after bjs , i think no

Re: Round-By-Round - Chris Eubank jr vs. Renold Quinlan - February 4th 2017
I'm not having the nervous energy excuse. After a round or two that energy goes. Carl Froch all through his World level career was someone who was clearly very nervous before fights and yet he managed to set a hard pace. It's all down to not doing enough cardio training. How can it be anything else. If he was doing 15 rounds of hard padwork a day and skipping and running he wouldn't be breathing through his arse after 3 rounds in every fight.
Re: Round-By-Round - Chris Eubank jr vs. Renold Quinlan - February 4th 2017
Yeh that's it, if he can do 12 rounds in training at a solid enough pace, then it is probably nerves as people have mentioned. Maybe he needs tranquilisers. Full bottle of Kalms or something haha.ProMayhem wrote:Surely the trainers would notice his lack of stamina in training ? Maybe just nerves ?
Re: Round-By-Round - Chris Eubank jr vs. Renold Quinlan - February 4th 2017
I think it is anxiety. I've seen many superfit gym bunnies who fall apart if they try to spar a couple of rounds.
He should have found a way to make it work for him (like Iron Mike) or a way to get over it by now but it's too late in the day now.
I just had a quick look back at youtube of his McDermott & Skelton fights to see how much worse he has become since he was showing so much promise back then.
He hasn't got any worse, technically he was poor back then but he was a fair bit faster and he seemed to have huge power so the one or 2 clean punches he could land per round would completely turn the fight in his favour.
Where did the power go?

Maybe he's fine in training. He wouldn't be the first one.ProMayhem wrote:Surely the trainers would notice his lack of stamina in training ? Maybe just nerves ?

Not for everyone. Some people can channel that energy, some people it eats up. People who don't get to the top.jameswilson wrote:I'm not having the nervous energy excuse. Well it must be SOMETHING.
The guy trains hard, is in good shape...
I mean they'd notice if he was out of gas after 3 rounds of sparring, Shirley ?!

Someone on Reddit claims that he knows someone in Price's camp who said Price had a panic attack in the dressing room before the Thompson rematch, and it wasn't the first time. No idea if true or not, but certainly sounds plausible given his performances.

Hardly front page news. We've seen him have them in the ring.Boxerbeetle wrote:Someone on Reddit claims that he knows someone in Price's camp who said Price had a panic attack in the dressing room before the Thompson rematch, and it wasn't the first time. There are people out there who can help him with things like that. There is definitely some issue.

One of Quinlan's cornermen looks like he's been locked in a cupboard for the last 30 years.
