He almost certainly beats Paul Smith and Fielding imo. He probably beats Murray at this stage of their careers.
Loses to the rest.

Don't think he'd beat groves. Too easy to hit.In the know 85 wrote:I think he beats degale, groves, Paul smith and Murray!

Groves is a bit chinny and also pretty easy to hit, he also marks up bad and cuts easy, I think jr has to much for him!jamesmcdonnell wrote:Don't think he'd beat groves. Too easy to hit.In the know 85 wrote:I think he beats degale, groves, Paul smith and Murray!

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Eubank Jnr can barely crack an egg so Groves being chinny won't mean much. Groves can punch like a mule and Eubank Jnr is easy to hit.In the know 85 wrote:Groves is a bit chinny and also pretty easy to hit, he also marks up bad and cuts easy, I think jr has to much for him!jamesmcdonnell wrote:Don't think he'd beat groves. I don't think groves has anything except a good Jab! He would destroy groves, Eubank has the same chin as his dad, solid! And " couldn't crack an egg " just says you like like him, given that he comatosed a very tough Nick Blackwell and did indeed "crack his egg" quite badly!

his chin . dont agree with his , i think spike hurt ej with a few punches in there fight , and bjs and there not renowned for their power and quinlan wasn't a big puncher ,so dont know what you're basing his chin onIn the know 85 wrote:lillywhite14 wrote:Eubank Jnr can barely crack an egg so Groves being chinny won't mean much. Spike can bang abit, bjs never hurt him, quinlan can punch and so can chudinov!brilo33 wrote:his chin . dont agree with his , i think spike hurt ej with a few punches in there fight , and bjs and there not renowned for their power and quinlan wasn't a big puncher ,so dont know what you're basing his chin onIn the know 85 wrote:lillywhite14 wrote:

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Groves would have had Quinlan out in 6, Eubank's power is mythical. I really like Eubank too but he doesn't just KO fighters, he hasn't got that one dig power. He just clubbed a man near to death but anybody can do that!
I don't believe he dropped Blackwell or Spike, add to those Quinlan, that's three average fighters who are obviously very tough, but don't match the skill of Chris.
If he had legit power he'd be next level.

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Didn't drop Chudinov either, and he was teeing off on him with loaded up shots. Chud had been down and hurt before too.
Jr. does have his strengths, but clearly the KO power isn't there beyond a fairly low level.

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Glad I'm not the only one. To some it sounds ridiculous cause he nearly killed Blackwell but if he hit like GGG or Lemieux, Nick would have been finished sooner.crusader wrote:Didn't drop Chudinov either, and he was teeing off on him with loaded up shots. Chud had been down and hurt before too.

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
I agree. The lack of power combined with the loaded up aggression means that overmatched opponents like Blackwell, Quinlan, and Chudinov take prolonged beatings, rather than getting stopped earlier with significantly fewer shots.

All of the above

What makes you think he's that good?ClivePatrickLyons wrote:All of the above
I think he loses to the first three and beats the last three.
Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Groves would be a good fight probably edge toward eubank as he'd be more hungry.
Calum smith is too inexperienced.
He would beat the rest of them apart from de Gale who would school him.

Re: Eubank Jr vs The Super Middleweights
Smith is too inexperienced for Eubank? Im not really seeing that; Jr has fought pretty much no one at 168, and his opposition at 160 was hardly amazing.
He certainly doesnt look more seasoned than Smith to me, and the one time he fought a top 10 opponent he didnt have the look of the supremly confident fighter he's often made out to be.

So who has Jnr fought with the exception of Saunders to give him experience ?Supremo wrote:Groves would be a good fight probably edge toward eubank as he'd be more hungry.

Groves is a HUGE step up at 168 - I've seen little or nothing to make him favourite against groves. Groves would hit him often and hard, and make Eubank pay for his mistakes.Supremo wrote:Groves would be a good fight probably edge toward eubank as he'd be more hungry.

Grove made to order for Eubank easy fight for Jr

And is Jr. elite at 168? If so, why?ClivePatrickLyons wrote:The thing is all of the above are not the elite that's allcrusader wrote:What makes you think he's that good?ClivePatrickLyons wrote:All of the above

He fought one top opponent, a fleshy MW who, despite being skilled, would probably get soundly beaten by the first three in the list, and he lost. Since then he's beaten up on guys who are nowhere close to the level of Degale, Groves, and Smith. Don't be one of those people who mindlessly think the bad boy swagger he shows against mediocre opponents makes him elite.
Going by his match against the opponent closest to the level of the first three, I doubt Jr. would nearly as cocky against a fighter like C. Smith, who is several inches taller, naturally heavier, much harder punching, and better technically.
