Daws v Yigit tv coverage
Daws v Yigit tv coverage
Lenny Daws v Anthony Yigit this Saturday 11th Feb, no tv coverage! I would have thought it would be on channel 5 but no, failing that Spike but no! Nobody bothered picking up Green Mundine. Roy Jones jr. v Bobby Gunn the following Friday 17th Feb, I know it's a bull crap fight but I still want to watch it, bocksnation better pick it up!
Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
Lenny Daws seems like he might be the most neglected British fighter on his talent level or above.
Why is there so little interest in him?

Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
He's decent and had been in a few good scraps but decent is me being kind. He's no sort of star power at all and unless you know him personally it'll only be us hardcore fans that watch. He had his hands full with DiRocco and he looked like a fish out of water against Burns.Horse wrote:Lenny Daws seems like he might be the most neglected British fighter on his talent level or above.

I didn't even know Lenny was still fighting..
Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
I intended to go to the Lenny Daws fight last time he fought in Westcroft, it's only a bus from me. Fell on a night where I was busy. Aint going to this one now. Busy again.
Shame it's not on TV. It was a novelty last time, I managed to watch the main event on +1. Weird to hear people discussing the leisure centre I learned to swim in as a kid.

Surprised this fight isn't on channel 5. Thought Mick would of got a tv date as the original date was scheduled for 5.
Such a shame that in a time when we have so many stations broadcasting boxing and one sided blowouts - for far flung inter-continental titles that a good European title fight is ignored.
Same happened when Farrags fight on the continent was ignored last year.

Surely Mick will give the coverage rights to W@rren for 50 quid and a sarnie.
Benefits Mick to have his shows on tv...

Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
Sad that the fella's fighting for a better regarded title than the IBO and we won't even be able to watch it!
Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
Why aren't allegedly showing it?
Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
They should! Daws is a decent enough fighter! I'd love to see him on to more! Why do you think allegedly aren't showing it?Horse wrote:Why aren't allegedly showing it?

Re: Daws v Yigit tv coverage
It's because they don't give a shit now until March 1st when the BT deal goes live. They didn't bother with Mundine Green or Vasquez Collazo, now Daws Yigit.Horse wrote:Because they are rubbish.Stuarty30 wrote:They should! Daws is a decent enough fighter!
