Eubank Jnr became the IBO super-middleweight champion on Saturday and his father, who handles his affairs, revealed he had already scheduled a meeting with Golovkin’s representatives.

‘We’ll be meeting with them in the next week and a half,’ said Eubank Snr.

‘We’re having a direct conversation and it’s open.

And Eubank Jnr is also convinced a fight with Golovkin will go ahead before the end of the year.

‘One hundred percent [it will happen], that’s the fight I want because that’s what the public want to see,’

Thoughts?

Senior is full of piss and vinegar! He talks too much of the brown stuff and needs a reality check. Junior won't fight GGG.

Eubank Jr was pocketing £4 million for fighting Golovkin (as set up by Eddie Hearn) and they refused it. Despite all their big talk before hand.

Fraud alert - Eubanks trying to piggyback off GGG again by pretending they want a fight when he already has a fight - When GGG beats Jacobs the Fraudbanks will be silent - if GGG happens to lose or gets robbed vs Jacobs this bluffery builds their cred -

Eubank Jr was pocketing £4 million for fighting Golovkin (as set up by Eddie Hearn) and they refused it. Despite all their big talk before hand.
Edie Hearn confirmed that Team Eubank didn’t actually refuse the opportunity to face GGG. They didn’t sign the contract by the specified deadline. Apparently the financials were agreed, but there were unresolved issues in the contract. Matchroom and Eubank Sr. both confirmed that Eubank Jr. never actually gained access to or even looked at the contract.

Tom Loeffler and Eddie Hearn both confirmed that Matchroom & K2 had informal discussions about the possibility of a Brook-GGG fight during February 2016, with a 155lb catch-weight initially mentioned, which was swiftly rejected by Team GGG.

So a lot of the contract stipulations would have already been discussed when Brook swiftly supplanted Eubank Jr. as Golovkin’s September 2016 title challenger, hence the reason why so little time was required to sign the Brook-GGG contract, whilst Chris Eubank Sr. was procrastinating.

You have to look at what Snr did in his career, he made MEGA bucks fighting the easiest fights he could get away with for the most part. Expect the same from Jnr. Absolutely no chance he would put his son in with GGG or Degale who they are also yapping on about. They already turned down a fortune to fight GGG, no doubt they will talk about it but they will price themselves out of it and make some easy defences of the "world title" they have won.

Eubanks kept adding new demands to Hearn wanting to control all decisions about the promotion which they knew wouldn't be accepted. Everybody finds his own way to duck.

It's a classic media manipulation move to trick the fans and media. WBA chump John Ruiz said he wanted to fight Vitali in a published interview shortly before WBC king Vitali fought Danny Williams. Of course Don King manipulated this to make Ruizzz look brave and tough. Of course, after Vitali KOed Williams, Ruiz never uttered a peep about fighting Vitali. King and Ruizzz KNEW Ruiz had zero chance to unify the title by beating Vitali so he did the next best thing: cheap talk. Try to beat Vitali with words to deceive the fans. Eubanks are pulling off the same scam now. They are hoping Jacobs can win so Chris will get a verbal win over GGG too :OhYes:

Saunders won't fight Eubank because he'd get knocked out in the rematch... GGG is his best bet... He could be the 1st guy to go the distance in 25 fights, and then lets see what Canelo does... He'll probably want to fight Billy Joe... It's really funny how Canelo gets the exact fights he wants.

That is... GGG is Eubank's best bet right now... If he loses he'll still bring his game up a lot... I believe it will go 12.

I wasn't having a dig at Golovkin. However, I don't think that the contract negotiation issues had anything to do with Team GGG or K2, it was more about Eubank Sr. wanting to micro-manage the promotion because of his strained relationship with Eddie Hearn.

Eddie and Frank both constantly lambast the Eubanks to the media, such as iFL TV, and I don't believe that Chris Sr. trusts the Hearns or the Warrens (i.e. Matchroom and Queens-bury Promotions).

"Ducking" isn't the root cause of all contract disputes.

Yes but things have changed since then and right now there seems to be pressure for " the best to fight the best " .

I think UFC and social media has a lot to do with it. Boxers are far more accessible these days, Twitter, Facebook, IFL people will only hear X amount of bull shite before they will have to step up

That's funny really considering Barry Hearn was the man who gave Chris Sr his start at boxing and brought him through.

I'm not taking sides. There are literally dozens of recent videos of Fwank Warren and Eddie Hearn criticising Chris Eubank Sr. I am clueless as to whether any of the gripes on both sides are legitimate or not, but all I do know, is that they clearly dislike each other.

Of Eddie Hearn & Fwank Warren are agreeing on something, you can be pretty sure that there's validity behind it.

You have to remember that he originally signed with Mick Hennessy, fighting on the undercards of Tyson Fury shows, live on Channel 5.

The truth is on every occasion when it's time to step upb' he decides tof go backward.

After he beat Tony Jeter, the WBA expected him to fight Danny Jacobs next, yet formal discussions weren't started between the parties.

He even decided to fight the likes of Spike O'Sullivan, Nick Blackwell, Tom Doran - whilst being a World-ranked contender and constantly complaining about not getting his shot or the recognition he deserves...

The guy will NEVER step up and fight the best (Golovkin or Jacobs - DeGale or Groves) - he'll just keep on fighting second raters.

Just like his father did when he fought Sam Storey - when RJJ, McCallum, Toney & Nunn were all there to be fought.

Oh, that's great.

Lets hope that the Eubanks don't lose their pen again when it comes time to sign the contracts!
