Jarrett Hurd is down and so it's Going Down!

Post by JohnP2 »

I started following this kid after he beat Chris Chatman back in the day (this is going back almost five years). I'm always a fan of rangy guys who can throw inside as well, so his style is what made me follow him.
He stayed busy, slowed down, then...started takings HEADS
B-side after B-side, he spoiling the party,. Catches Haymon's eye. Dan was a showcase fight, and while Hurd did not overly dominate..I'm gonna say this. If he beats Harrison and that is a BIG IF, Hurd is top 5 at 54 (which is a lot for a cat whose going in to his 20th fight).

As soon as I found out about this I called my people and let them know we gonna see Mama Jama (meaning we're going to Alabama).

I have to say though....SCARY ass fight for Hurd. I know Harrison hasn't fought ANYONE, and he WAS putting it on Nelson before getting clipped, but Harrison is no joke either. IMO, this is the best match-up to-date in 2017.

Thoughts?
p.s. I don't know the cat, no with his camp or anything. Just talking boxing here...no investments

All I can say is I'm excited to see this fight and this card in general, I ain't seen either guy fight but I heard Jarrett been making waves. Looks like the winner will be in line for title shot!

The Hurd-Harrison fight is a tremendous matchup. I really like both guys. I give a slight edge to Harrison.

I think he's the better boxer of the two and he's got the faster hands. Hurd has been able to overwhelm his opponents with his size and strength. Harrison and Hurd have almost identical physical attributes, so I don't think Hurd is going to be bully Harrison likes he's done with previous opponents.

I first saw him against Oscar Molina & he looked brilliant. Not that beating Molina makes him brilliant but he just oozed class that night.

So many decent fighters around the 154 region at the moment (although I know a few will soon be moving up).

Hopefully we'll see some of the top fighters against each other rather than just defending the many alphabets belts.
