He'd probably do better sparring genuine high quality pro heavies with experience who have decent timing and footwork... even if they're only around 6 foot or just over. I doubt he'll find anyone that comes close to Klitschko's boxing ability from MMA, and Joe Joyce (at this stage) is a brawler in comparison. May as well just hire a basketball team if height and reach is their focus in replicating Wlad.

Fury used tall kickboxers and MMA guys for Klitschko and he didn't fair too badly

Yep Horse is right. Don't just copy and paste whole articles, give a summary then link to the original source.
I'd say post the link but the full text as well.
Often the stories come from sources I have no desire to click on.
I go on football forums and people post links to a story in the Sun or Daily Record, I'd rather not know than click on anything from that shower of shite. If it's worth reading (which it often isn't from the above sources) just let me know what they said.
Fair point. Some sites are also full of popups which slow my computer right down.

Good point - but Fury is more of a natural boxer than AJ (better jab, better head movement, better foot movement, better instincts). I doubt he learned a massive deal fighting those MMA guys, other than more practice finding the range on a tall guy. If AJ doesn't spar with guys who are genuine world-level boxers then he's going to have to learn how to do that in the ring - and I can see him walking into a trap from a cagey veteran like Wlad.

That's not really allowed though.

It could get this forum in trouble.
I think that highly unlikely. It is bad form to take material from sources without attributing them, but it's not likely to land the website with a lawsuit.

Defamatory remarks are another thing entirely.

The Dutch do own kickboxing from middleweight to especially heavyweight. They are a brutal bunch of bastards. And some are big buggers. Some of them can really punch. Badr Hari took on Bouie Fisher - the guy who helped turned Hopkins into a great boxer - as his punching coach, of sorts.

And not just Badr Har (who never actually won any tournament in his life), Peter Earts, Semmy Schilt, Remi Bonjaski, Tyrone Spong, Ernesto Hoost, Ismael Londt, Alistair Overeem and so on and on and on.

Rico Verhoeven is currently the champion of the world, a 255 pound guy.
You can hear him talking in this vid about Tyson Fury a couple of years ago, before the Klitschko fight:

Has to be a mixture of success breeding success and not many other countries being that in to it. The kick boxing scene in the U.K. Is like the ginger step child of martial arts. No one gives a shit!
