Several different sources saying its done - though all seem to stem from Hearn.... I would be very suprised if it was Eubank/Brook-GGG type turnaround now though

(I think it will be PPV as well 'Brook is a PPV fighter, he dont wanna fight on normal sky sports no more')

Of course it will be PPV,unfortunately with purse expectations it can only happen on ppv.Sky or any other UK channel isnt going to pay a couple of Million in TV money to put the show on.I expect Brook will want around 2 mill for this with Spence taking 1.5
That's not going to happen without ppv money and any one who follows the sport at the moment should know that.Yes Froch- Lucian Bute was on normal sky but Froch took fairly poor money for that fight because that was his big route back.

Best fight in the division?

No, it's not.

I think it will be a great match. Spence is a quality fighter, and Brook probably needs this as a confidence booster after GGG caught him out and put him down.
Realistically I can't expect to see the fight, as I'm outside the UK. We have been lucky enough to get the last few AJ fights on PPV on New Zealand Sky, but this will probably not have the same profile.
Fingers crossed :TU:

Excellent news, really looking forward to this one. Big up to Brook for fighting a guy who has the potential to be a nightmare opponent.

I really liked his tweet "All that work just to give it up ?" referring to his belt. Says a lot about the lad's character. I've criticized him in the past for his choice of opponents and questioned his appetite for the big tests. I was clearly bang wrong.

Can't argue with it as a fight. I want to see quality fights in each division and this is a quality fight. Beats waiting round for Khan to decide if he'll fight again in another year.

Second best fight around at welterweight at the moment. The other happens in a couple of weeks.

Yeah Thurman/Garcia is the top fight in the division but style wise I think this makes for a better fight

Fair play to Brook. I have given the boy a lot of stick for decisions that I feel needed it but to be a fair person with an opinion that should be respected, you have to give credit when it is due. He did not have to take this and it is a tricky assignment and although I favour him, I would not consider him a huge favourite.

To not give the man credit for taking a tough fight must thought he would swerve is just confirmation of hater status as opposed to genuine impartial fan making observations.

It'll be PPV without doubt.

Tempted to get over for that tbh. I think they'll need to really boost the PPV with some decent undercard if it's outdoors.

I'm in the minority but I'm not giving Brook much credit for this. He took the Golovkin fight as it was a huge, huge pay day and sets him up for life. He's fought some terrible mandatories in Bizier and Jo Jo Dan, up there with the worst we've seen in the UK. For me, he should definitely be taking this fight.

I know people avoid challenges but Brook has one world class win on his record, Shawn Porter and some feel that was debatable. For what it's worth I do think Brook was a worthy winner.

The way I see it, don't win a world title what you've worked for all your life to throw it away at the first stern test. The weight isn't an obvious issue, 147 was absolutely fine to box Amir Khan so it's good to box Errol Spence Jr.

He made excuses to fight Bizier and Dan because they were mandatories. But when Spence is mandatory he makes excuses not to fight Spence.

I'm glad the fight has been made and Spence stops him for me.

Great fight for the fans but bad timing for Brook.

Last year I'd of picked Brook but now I favour Spence.

Firstly Brook took a beating by GGG. Has it effected him? Has the fight at 160 effected how he can make 147 which was a huge task to do before GGG? Also Spence is still wild and punches wide BUT he's improving and starting to keep his shape more. Also he doesn't seem the character to unravel on the biggest stage. I like his mental state.

Also I don't mind this being on PPV. With the purses being less than your average Joshua PPV there should be some available £ for a cracking undercard to help sell it. I can see a couple of lower weights World titles on the bill. Hall-Haskins and probably a Mcdonnell defence.

Heart says Kell head says Spence. GOOD FIGHT.

Good to see that this has been announced. I'll believe it's happening when the tickets are on sale though. Still plenty of time for Spence to say that he's not travelling over to be paid so little. £1.5m is only $1.8m these days. Last summer, that would have been well over $2m and that's what might be a stumbling block.

I'm sure it will be PPV but i can't see how it can be. Brook is well known in the boxing community and with a few casuals but Spence is pretty much an unknown over here. If Brook wants the Khan fight, they need to get people behind them and show a strong hand. There's 2 sides to this argument but i think it's better to have a huge figure watching this fight rather than 200,000 people buying it on PPV

I think it actually is the best fight in the division.

Garcia is one lucky mofo whom has found his form for the right fights at the right time, very inconsistent.

Brook vs Thurman hopefully in the future !

If Brook v Gavin was deemed PPV-worthy, I'm fairly sure this will be :TU:

Love him or hate him, Hearn really knows how to get this stuff right. He appeals to the buying market which is something so many others fail to do. I do despise him but I do envy and begrudgingly his ability to have found and exploited a market so well.
