Quinlan is good. Eubank is a different level but. His best chance is to push forward. If he fights Eubank like he fought Jake Carr a few years ago (looking for counter punches)... Eubank will destroy him.

9 completed. Starting to take its toll on Quinlan now. Not sure how much more he can take.

Eubank's aggression and lack of power make him an unhealthy guy for overmatched opponents to fight. He hit Chudinov, Blackwell, O'Sullivan, and now Quinlan with flush, loaded up power shots all night, but as we speak couldn't drop any of them. His lack of power means he keeps landing over and over when a puncher would have things done with.

Good stoppage by ref. Quinlan did well to last as long as he did, and we & he should be proud of his effort.

Eubank Junior says hitting Quinlan was like hitting concrete and full respect to him because he gave me a real hard fight.

I'm not convinced about the stoppage. I didn't stick around to see any comments after the fight, but Quinlan was still throwing at the end (though well reduced), and had shown he could endure punishment.

I think that there was no way that he was going to win the fight. It was hard to even see a round in his favour. But he deserved the right to go the distance.

Having said that, an early stoppage is better than too late.

Well done to Quinlan. I hope he sticks with it. He would have won some fans with that effort.

I had no issue with the stoppage and thought it was well timed.
Quillan was always going to be pushing it uphill to beat Eubank and the different levels were evident from the start. Plenty of courage and heart shown by Renald. Hold ya head high.

Courageous performance by Renold when nobody gave him a hint of a chance. Won't have lost any friends from that showing.

Nigel Benn has made some interesting comments about Renold Quinlan

http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2017/02/ ... -eubank-jr

“I met Renold in Australia and talked with him about his training program. It was really hard to believe what kind of food he was living off.

“Renold was eating Maccie D’s (McDonald’s), KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and all that rubbish, so I tried to help him out with his food.

“When it came to fight night, I was shocked that the fight lasted that long but Chris Jr. did what he had to do.”
