CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
I'm well and truly over this fight. I had my views on who I thought won the fight and couldn't care less what the punch stats are. Look forward to commenting on the young fellas coming through and hope these 2 old warriors can both retire happily.
Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
Look it doesn't fit his agenda and also the first round should of been 10-8 Mundine instead of the other way around. Let him enjoy the win.p4p1 wrote:The judges decision seems to go against the general consensus, didn't boxing monthly actually wrote an article about it being a robbery?Redback Rasta wrote:I merely pointed out the CompuBox numbers. I guess that's why they have 3 judges on the night?
Oh, that's right, their numbers don't suit your argument either
But out of curiosity did you have
Bradley beating Pacquiao?
Ward beating Kovalev?
Trinidad beating DLH?
Mayweather beating Castillo?
Or do you admit that the judges far too frequently get it wrong?

We are all entitled to our opinions. Not sure why it riles you so much that people saw the fight differently to you.Lairdy wrote:Tbh man, the "close fight" veiw is becoming a cop out! The Kovalev vs Ward fight was a "close" fight. I can understand the Kovalev fans having a bit to say, but it was 50/50 for me.Like a Boss wrote:People, including the judges, saw the fight differently to you. Close fights are hard to score and if there's one thing most people do agree on about Green-Mundine II it is that it was a close fight. The punch stats support that as well.
At least one side is always unhappy once the result of a close fight is handed down and this one is no different.
These "people" you speak of, that seen the fight differently to myself. I've counted 8 of them in the entire country. Yes... 8! No need to rub your eyes. I have encountered at least 500 delusional Danny Green fans from all sources over the last 10 years. Most of them seem to have disappeared after Green WON!... Very interesting.
Oh, the punch stats . Mundine's percentage of punches landed was easily better than Greens. That's what the statistics show. They also show that Green. Only landed something like 24% of his shots. I'd like to see a fight in history where a guy has only landed 23% of his punches in a "close" fight and won...
The fight was 2 weeks ago. It is done and dusted.

You scored the fight for Green and the judges scored the fight for Green. The fight was two weeks ago. Move on.DA GOOSE wrote:Look it doesn't fit his agenda and also the first round should of been 10-8 Mundine instead of the other way around. People have had 2 weeks to voice their opinions and revoice them and revoice them again.fox wrote:I'm well and truly over this fight. I agree it is time to move on

They would have made plenty of $$ from the fight and good luck to them. Hopefully they stay in the sport in some capacity, but I hope both their fighting days are over.Like a Boss wrote:People have had 2 weeks to voice their opinions and revoice them and revoice them again.fox wrote:I'm well and truly over this fight. We've all argued are points it's definitely time to move on. I think we can all agree that the whole night was shit and an embarrassment to Australian boxing though.

Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
Yep. Green controversially scraped by in this battle of faded old men (Mundine more faded IMO), while Mundine outclassed him and easily won a wide UD when they were around their primes.
1-1, but with Mundine's win being much more significant.

Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
Doesn't hurt me at all...I'm not a fan or hater of either fighter.
Glad you can find some enjoyment from your perception that internet forum posters are hurt by the outcome; we all need something to bring us a smile

Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
All the bogans have been waiting 11 long years for this moment. Don't try to take it away from them with something as silly as facts and logic. Pointing out that Mundine won their meaningful fight is just unfair.
Re: CompuBox statistics for Green-Mundine
your posts simply cannot hide the hurt u r all feeling.
don't worry they'll fight for a 3rd time and u can then witness the punishment that a danny green without concussion will inflict on the woman :)
then u lot can sook and cry a little more, lol.

He was "weight drained" for the first fight. "Concussed" for 2nd. Can you please give us a clue of what "won't" be wrong with Danny, if he signs on for a third beating?buster007 wrote:your posts simply cannot hide the hurt u r all feeling.

....Oh, and i can't remember if it was yourself or boges... But is there any truth to your rumor that Green even "threw" the Tarver fight?...

Green has a long list of excuses for his losses thoughLairdy wrote:He was "weight drained" for the first fight. "Concussed" for 2nd. First Breyer fight it was because the referee unfairly punished him for deliberately headbutting an opponent.
Mundine fight it was being weight drained at the same weight he had always fought at.
Tarver was juicing or handwraps or some such bullshit IIRC

With Tarver first it was the financial pressure.p4p1 wrote:Green has a long list of excuses for his losses thoughLairdy wrote:He was "weight drained" for the first fight. "Concussed" for 2nd. Then in the Mundine 2 interview they knew he was on steroids.

Yet hey had no testing before the fight despite it being IBO rules.

Thread will be locked soon I suspect. Why does it make you cry when people point out Danny is a sore loser who makes excuses for all his losses? Why does it break your heart if people discuss it (a boxing related issue on a boxing forum) yet you say nothing when BW and yourself go on about what Mundine said about Geales wife 3 years ago or 9-11 16 years ago?Like a Boss wrote:
