Results from the first round are:
Ali UD12 Frazier
Louis TKO9 Marciano
Holmes TKO11 Foreman
Lewis KO9 Tyson
So the points table reads:
1. Louis 9 points
2. Ali 5 points
2. Holmes 5 points
4. Foreman 3 points
5. Lewis -1 point
6. Frazier -5 points
7. Maricano -7 points
8. Tyson -9 points
The next round of fights are:
Ali vs Maricano
Louis vs Holmes
Foreman vs Lewis
Frazier vs Tyson
Remember, this is a premier league style event and not a knockout competition. Once all fighters have fought each other twice the tournament is over and the fighter with the most points is the ultimate champion! Fights are 12 rounds, not 15, and fighters use 10 ounce gloves (not that I think that would make a real difference to any of the fights). For those who didn't read the first topic, these are 7 of my top 8 all-time heavies, I rate Tyson 12th from memory, but I found him just too interesting a fighter to leave out. The points system is as such:
KO win = 3 points
Decision win = 1 point
Draw = 0
Decision loss = -1 point
KO loss = -3 points

Ali TKO Marciano round 12.
Louis TKO Holmes Round 12
Foreman KO Lewis Round 5
Frazier TKO Tyson Round 8
I'm least sure about Frazier Tyson but these days thats the way I lean. I've just lost faith in Tyson's ability to hang with the big dogs of the past.
A few years ago....I would have called it for Tyson but I'm not sure he could muster the heart to prevail in a real fight. And Joe would be there to fight, not be "psyched".

Good stuff, keep the replies coming in!
I agree with your comment on Foreman-Lewis, Ezzard. I feel that a prime Foreman wins in the early to mid rounds or not at all against a prime Lewis. I have Foreman winning this one, and Lewis winning the rematch on points (each fighter fights each other twice in the tournament).
