But Hagler never got the smaller Leonard or Duran going... And he never got old Benny Briscoe, or beaten up Marcos Geraldo going... Geraldo had been knocked out 10 times before... Rodrigo Valdes smashed a young Benny Briscoe out with a tremendous left hook at 1:31 of this video.. Start it about 1:25

Hagler was a cumulative puncher, but once he had an opponent going they rarely got out of trouble.

No fighter whose career ran it's full course finishes everyone.

BIG MISTAKE by saying that Flump. Now, Kalan probably is going to counter with Edwin Valero as the greatest finisher of all time and all that crap.

You missed Marciano's fights with Walcott, Rex Layne, and second fight with Charles.

I can only think of Douglas who survived & that was in the 8th when Tyson was tired.
He couldn't finish guys like Quick Tillis, James Smith, Razor Ruddock, and Tony Tucker either... Not to mention the guys who trashed and stopped Mike.

You could say that about every boxer that was KO artist & lost or went the distance.

He never had Tillis, Smith, Ruddock (rematch) & Tucker ready to go.

What I said initially stands; apart from Douglas (who wasn't very hurt & was fresher than Tyson) can you remember a time when Tyson had an opponent down & very hurt that he didn't finish?

Yeah... Ruddock was down and hurt... Also very hittable... Tyson couldn't get him out... Too big and strong like an ox.

Of course when he faced Lewis he got crushed... A much better finisher who also finished Tyson.
