How did you score Broner-Granados?
Granados says he defeated Broner.

I agree, I scored it 96-94 for Granados.
I found the Showtime commentators (especially Farhood), the ref (who let Broner hold), and the judges (especially Weisfeld) all to be biased in favor of Broner.

96-94 AG.... could have been wider.
Thought the allegedly commentators were flattering of Broner.

What a tough fight to score. This is another reason why Boxing needs to reset itself and fix some of these glitches. You could tell from the first round last night that this fight was going to be a debacle on the scorecards. I would have loved to have seen a draw last night because i didn't think that either guy deserved to lose the fight. Especially Granados, who I had winning the fight and pushing the action all night.
Broner not only changed the weight limit for the fight but the length of the fight so why not let him dictate who won the fight as well. Joke.

Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
There was no controversy about the outcome of this competitive fight. Broner's superior quality earned him the victory over the far busier but far less efficient Granados.
Adrien did not cheat his way to victory, by changing the fight weight, since Tigre frequently competes at 147lbs.
It must be far more challenging to defeat a former sparring partner that is intimately familiar with your fighting style and also happens to be much better than their record suggests, than casual fight fans will have you believe. So Broner's performance must be evaluated in its true context.
That said, Broner was rusty from his layoff and he faced an incredibly awkward opponent, so I don't think we've learned anything new about AB in this bout, other than the fact he's far worse competing at welterweight than some of us originally suspected.
Broner needs to return to 135lbs, in order to compete at his optimum weight division, but he appears to lack the necessary discipline to do this.

For me this was 96-94 Granados.
And that's being a little flattering to Broner. Although Broner may have landed more clean shots in the fight, Granados was on him like a rash, pressing him against the ropes and completely dominating the ring. Only in the 7th did Broner manage to really push Granados back and for most of the fight when he met him head-to-head Granados completely outworked him on the inside.
Surely when the punch numbers are as even in the rounds, you fall back on the secondary criteria of "effective aggression", "ring generalship" and defence. Broner showed the better defence but showed vulnerability to the aggression and so ceded the centre to Granados.
I feel sorry for Granados, his record now looks like crap and I'm not sure you can say he clearly deserved all those losses.

Where is a draw option? It was a kind of a fight which should've resulted in a draw.
Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
95-95 with at least half of the rounds very close. Going into the 9th I had Granados up 77-75. Broner closed stronger, especially the last minute of the 10th.

... uhm ... it was a draw ...
... which is, of course, the best possible outcome for any fight where two good professional fighters give their all and neither is dominant ...
.. (just so you know) ...

Poll should have a draw option. I scored it a draw.
Broner is a waste. He'll never be better than a borderline top 10 guy at 147, and he doesn't have the discipline to fight at 140. Crawford would absolutely wreck him.

Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
like i said, broners career is over.
he couldve done so much, he was realy good at lower weight classes. in the past moving up in weights to fast was one problem, than that hip hop wannaba rapper crap and his endless party and jail time was hurting his training and now he is hurting his training simply by not giving his very best and having other distractions like being a promoter and stuff around. he seems like a nice dude, but not the brightest.

It was a draw in my opinion but had 97 to 96 for Broner
Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?

Looks like most people thought Granados deserved to win.

Lol, he couldn't have done a thing more. Why can't people just admit they over hyped a fighter? Poor zab Judah, being one of the most consistent fighters in decades, still suffers from people's expectations. Broner is a solid fighter, nothing more.Jip wrote:like i said, broners career is over.

Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
Should be a rematch but Broner ain't giving one, might as well because Broner ain't beating no top Dawgs at 147.I still can't give a thought who won the fight because it was a very close fight, each fighter had there best rounds.I think the fight was a draw are Broner won by one round.
Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
96-94 Granados
Re: How did you score Broner-Granados?
I thought Boner was lucky to get a SD Victory. I had Granados by one point.

He seems like a nice dude? Didn't he KO a guy outside a bowling alley because the guy won a bet against him and was gloating about it?Jip wrote:like i said, broners career is over.
