Robert Garcia who is Mikey's brother & trainer mention Mickey wants nothing but big fights in 17.Mikey also advise former promoter Bob Arum to sign Crawford up and Mikey he wants the best and he knows Crawford is a huge fight for him.

It would be an incredible fight. As highly skilled as Crawford is, I believe Garcia is still a bit more solid fundamentally. I'd love to see it. Would rather Loma/Garcia though. And if Robert is asking for it, they must be pretty confident in their chances.

I disagree. Crawford is not that big for a 140 pounder. He would only have about 2" in height and reach on Mikey. Postol dwarfed Crawford in the ring from my perspective.

I do think that it is early to be moving up to 140 for Mikey, but if the fight can be made, why not? I don't think that Crawford should be in too big a hurry to go to welter. If he can get both Mikey and Lomassiah in the ring over the next two years it would be his best strategy.

After that he could move up for what's left at welter.

mikey is 29, i wouldnt rush things. still easily 4 years in his prime left. he is superb at the weight he is right now and therefore shouldnt leave the division. i hope verdejao builds his name more, these 2 would be a great showdown. down the line, i can also see loma and dervonta moving up in weight in the next 12 month and those 3 would be a great mix.

I would not step into a ring with Crawford at this point if I were Garcia... I would challenge Terry Flanagan, Jorge Linares, and Robert Easter... By that time possibly Pacquiao will get his ass trashed by Crawford... Then Crawford-Garcia will be a Super Fight... And while you're still a Lightweight there's always Lomachenko -- who's not getting any rivals champions to budge at 130, and is eyeing the Lightweights -- particularly you.

Beg to differ!! Garcia is bigger than Loma but smaller than Crawford...more importantly he would be at least even money vs Loma (if not a slight favorite) and a clear underdog vs Terence!!
