I doubt anyone actually laid that absurd price with a guy who's fought absolutely nobody.

While Dat's cumulative grinding pop was underrated (i thought it was his only effective weapon pre fight)... what no one imo saw coming was how bad Flores reacted when overwhelmed and hurt... Most fighter hide this with a great defense or fighting reluctantly... It was far from Flores' style who likes to mix inside the pocket with hooks... SO no one saw that coming and Dat showed incredible mental focus to not take a step back starting half way in R2... Dat landed some flush combos and Flores started to time him coming in with brutal body shots... that never shook Dat's confidence and he kept grinding and stalking and capitalized on that hidden flaw from Flores.

The physical strength of Dat ruled... He kept pressing the action... and kept throwing tight combinations with a lot of confidence... He was having fun in there... He knew he was the stronger man and eventually he would overwhelm the weaker man if he kept pressing and throwing... Flores's shots weren't hurting him, they were giving him more energy.

It's like Foreman vs Frazier or Hagler vs Hearns, but not as wide a differential as that.. If you have an opponent who will throw and trade punches with you, and you know you're stronger, you just keep coming and throwing..

I loved it when Flores started moving around the ring like a boxer, finally conceding that he wasn't going to win the exchanges.. and Dat just dropped his hands and walked straight after him like a thug, "You're not going to get away from me sucker. I'm going to keep following you and beating the sh!t outta you until you're out."
