Kudos to Holman Williams for a great fight, and being the first person who was good enough to hold Nino Benvenuti to a draw. Nobody's good enough to beat Nino, but Holman sure gave it a hell of a try.

Robinson/Walker seemed due to just have close fights. I could easily see Walker getting the nod here. Round 8 was a killer round for Robinson. I don't know why Robinson has done next to nothing the last two fights for the first half, just to turn it on late.

Ouch! What a bruising encounter from Hagler and Monzon.

I expected it to be very close, I think that it always would be between them - they are so evenly matched, so a Split Decision result does seem perfectly reasonable.

My only grievance is that by the end-of-round scores, Monzon won 8 rounds, Hagler won 7...

I'd love to seem them go at it again.
