Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Better round from Jones but still gave it to Poxton. Jones is learning on the job here.
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Poxton's slowing down. Jones coming back into it.
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
I'd still have given the 3rd to Poxton, but he's definitely slowing and it seems that the opening is there for Jones to start getting into the fight now.
3-0 Poxton

Poxton takes round 4!
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Poxton wins 4th. Jones needs to box. Easier said than done.

Shame Poxton makes Malignaggi look like Earnie Shavers...
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Jones is struggling here. Can't keep Poxton off.

That bell really saved Poxton from the first real assault thrown his way
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Suddenly Jones lands, but it's too late to take the round. You can only arguably give Jones 1 round so far

Absolute mess that eye!
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Great fight. Gotta give Jones 7th. He really dug in. Poxton's eye looks atrocious though.

Not sure how Jones wins this without a number of KD's or a (T)KO
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Jones nicks 9th. What a credit to boxing this fight is.

Get in Poxton! Go on lad close the show!
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Bloody hell! Extraordinary performance from Poxton.
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
2 knockdowns in the 10th and Jones' corner calls a halt to the bout. Tremendous performance from Craig Poxton!
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
Great performance from Poxton, I didn't think he'd keep it up for ten rounds let alone finish it inside the distance.
Fantastic fight.
Fantastic fight.
Re: Jay Harris vs Thomas Essomba and undercard on Bocksnation
He did kinda slow down for a few rounds there, but he got a 2nd wind and finished beautifully. I look forward to seeing more of both fighters.milpool wrote:Great performance from Poxton, I didn't think he'd keep it up for ten rounds let alone finish it inside the distance.

Yeah one of those fights where you DO want to see both guys, sure one guys rep is enhanced and the other diminished but both guys were invovled in a stonkingly good fightgilgamesh wrote:He did kinda slow down for a few rounds there, but he got a 2nd wind and finished beautifully.
