Benny Lynch Peter Kane fight

Hello,
The Benny Lynch-Peter Kane fight on March 24, 1938 IS NOT a title fight. According to the Liverpool library which checked this for me, the fight was contracted at the bantamweight limit and Lynch weighed 119lbs 7 oz and had to pay a forfeit. Kane's weight was not announced. This also makes sense because Lynch's next fight was against Jackie Jurich where he was 6 1/2 pounds over the flyweight limit and lost the title on the scales. I can send the email for confirmation.
