If Vargas doesnt win comfortably on the cards id be extremely surprised here but McDonnell should be massively proud of the effort he put into that tonight.

Walked forward for 12 rounds, great engine and great effort. :salut:

If I was really generous I could give McDonnell a share of 3 rounds, but that's academic, Vargas has won this by a mile.

120-110 for me
hope not, hope cards are fair. Crowd have certainly been loud of course. Judges would have to be made to see the pull downs as knock downs. The amount of swinging into fresh air from G McD would surely meet many lost rounds.

118-110 Vargas

Could be closer, but it's a robbery if he doesn't win

Vargas v Magdeleno unification could be an excellent fight in 12 months time.

Ian John Lewis card is, quite simply, a disgrace. Laughable nonsense and a discredit to UK boxing and officialdom.

One hopes it won't put off other international fighters from coming here, but it almost certainly will.
