Both of them looked like club fighters.
Joshua would annihilate Wilder.

You see the inexperience of Washington in his reaction to the knockdown.

Yeah shouldn't have jumped back up like that.Taansend wrote:You see the inexperience of Washington in his reaction to the knockdown.
Absolutely no defence either, just wide open when he was hurt.
Technically Wilder is shockingly bad too.

Where is Wilder in the top 10 ?
Looks an accident waiting to happen.
IMO the following beat him right now...
Fury, AJ, Wlad, Haye, Pulev, Povetkin, Ortiz for sure.
Parker maybe - what about Whyte, Chisora ?
even Breazeale has a chance..

Both guys are average fighters. Wilder has huge power and careful matchmaking which is why he has a belt, Washington is just plain average.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Yeah shouldn't have jumped back up like that.Taansend wrote:You see the inexperience of Washington in his reaction to the knockdown.

Luckily all three "gentlemens" who won had god on their side.
I wonder if god had some money on these bouts

I love it when a Muslim praises Allah for his win in the states - the look on the interviewers facesTaansend wrote:Luckily all three "gentlemens" who won had god on their side.

Washington looked to be incapable of throwing a straight right, fortunately for Wilder.punchoutsb wrote:Both guys are average fighters. Joshua will poleaxe him, if Washington could keep him at bay with the jab, Joshua will bust him up with the jab alone.

Washington just isn't a boxer; he's a good athlete, a good football player. He struggled with Nagy for crying out loud. I can't see Wilder having any success against AJ. I know we still haven't seen Wilder step out of C-level, but there's just too many issues popping up there for me to really believe he'll have success against the best in the division.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Washington looked to be incapable of throwing a straight right, fortunately for Wilder.punchoutsb wrote:Both guys are average fighters. Wilder looked crap but seeing as he's been inactive and had surgery i'll cut him some slack but he looked pretty poor, I thought Washington might be able to take it into the 2nd half of the fight and make it interesting if Wilder couldn't get going, that power is some equaliser though, I don't think even his worst critics can deny his power is awesome, he looked wild as hell though when he was going for the finish, arms all over the place wide open
Lol at the ref jumping in then changing his mind, eejit

Wilder was jumping as he was throwing windmill punches to finish the fight by the looks of it. Looking like a raw novice but the chap must have the most power in boxing in that right hand. He lands that right hand cleanly once and the fight is over.
Re: Round-By-Round - Deontay Wilder vs. Gerald Washinton - February 25th 2017
Several guys have gone rounds after being hit cleanly by the right. Wilder hit Stiverne with it several times, to give one example.TheLeprechaun wrote:Wilder was jumping as he was throwing windmill punches to finish the fight by the looks of it. Clearly one of the sport's best punches though...

This is true. His power is real but his lack of quality, hand picked opponents also play a role.crusader wrote:Several guys have gone rounds after being hit cleanly by the right. Wilder-Stiverne 2 has now been ordered
Pathetic...fat boy has one mediocre win since 2014, and took a beating in the first fight.
