Amir Khan, Please Retire
Amir,
Canelo knocked you out cold.
Manny is going to knock you out cold.
50,000 people in the UK would pay to see it, so Brook is going to knock you out cold.
Then your "fans" are going to say, "well it was Canelo, Manny and Brook",
so some up and comer 140-154 pounder is going to knock you out cold.
Given that you've been hurt in almost every fight since Maidana,
I'm sure 3 more lights out concussions won't be any good for you.
Stop listening to these idiots. You've had a great career.
This is a long time hater telling you it's not funny anymore.
Retire.

And you talk about people hating Al.
Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
one of the best posts you ever made

Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
Inb4 Khan destroys Brook and Paciquiao.
Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
There are guys that take consistant and sustained beatings for comparatively small purses. Khan gets paid huge money and typically wins or gets hurt and stopped inside the space of one or two rounds..... I wouldnt blame anyone for retiring from boxing because they didnt enjoy getting hit in the face and feared for their health, but the idea that Khan is someone in more danger than other fighters that have been KO'd numerous times seems ridiculous.
Now he has a fight with an aging super star who hasnt KO'd anyone in years and you are advising him to retire.... I would hate to have you as advisor!

C'mon,,Khan provides good excitement. Khan is always in the fight using his speed and boxing ability. The excitement comes when Khan is finally caught with a solid shot and how hard he hit's the canvas.

Brook isn't knocking Khan out cold because Khan won't fight him.
Amir is chasing big money these days & he's trying to pad his retirement fund out.
I might even be surprised if Pac knocks him out now.
Pacquiao has become Colin McMillan in the last seven years; he just doesn't knock people out now.

I know Hatton & Cotto would rather see this Manny than the PED poster boy they had to tangle with.

Khan has the worst chin, by far, of any of Manny's opponents during the "KO drought".CheckHook wrote:Now he has a fight with an aging super star who hasnt KO'd anyone in years and you are advising him to retire.... I would hate to have you as advisor!
Manny is going to KO him by accident.

After Manny KOs Khan, Brook will be Khan's biggest money fight.Syntax Error wrote:Brook isn't knocking Khan out cold because Khan won't fight him.

Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
I'm not a fan of Khan as a person either. But as said, he made Canello look like a chump.
If he loses his speed, then it's time to retire.
Chin? Sure it's suspect, but who can deny how nice it is to watch a quality, skilled opponent ply his trade. We have so many thugs and pretenders in the sport I'm always refreshed watching the sweet science applied.

Khan has taken no sustaniend beatings in his career, despite his long career he seems very fresh. I've no doubt his speed is still intact. He can beat this Pacquaio but I think he'll lose.KiwiRider wrote:I'm not a fan of Khan as a person either. But as said, he made Canello look like a chump.

Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
This is true. Khan's knockout losses have come quickly and suddenly. I don't recall Khan taking too much punishment before getting knocked out in any of his losses. So Khan could still be a live wire. That's if he doesn't get hit square on the chin.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Khan has taken no sustaniend beatings in his career, despite his long career he seems very fresh. If any fuckers need to retire its Cotto & Marquez, and I'm just talking in and around welterweight.
Re: Amir Khan, Please Retire
I give khan a shot.
-He performs brilliantly against southpaws
-he has a significant reach and height advantage
-he has the x factor of being motivated to beat pac and become a bigger name as a result (maybe even hoping to lure mayweather out)
-both have sparred before and khan looked good in some sessions
-pac is past his best and doesnt have as much pop behind his punches and not even half the killer instinct from his younger days.
