I'd like to see it too!! I reckon Howard is well past his best, and after seing how many left hooks Gary Beardsley managed to tag Howard with, and considering the power Lockett has in said left hook, I'd love them to make the fight.Hellephant wrote:I would like to see big brother battersea bomber Howard Eastman fight Gary Lockett.

Eastman has bigger fish to fry, but he will soon become a yardstick rather than a contender (if he hasn't already!).
Past his best or not, Howard wouldn't be able to follow Bernard Hopkins for the full 12 rounds on away soil if wasn't a top contender. In terms of all round ability Hopkins is light years ahead of Lockett.
Eastman's chin is rock solid too and Lockett like to work at his own pace which would suit Howard down to the ground.
I'd still like to see it though, would be a bruising battle( should Howard decide pick up a minor belt).

I think Howard is a bit too old now, and solid chin or not, anybody will go if Lockett connects (lets not forget Kevin Kelly)! Howard is open to left hooks, so I think Lockett would connect. He would have to get on his bike, and try and stay outside Gary. I think it would be a good earner for Gary, and would place him top 10.
