Made a bit of money on this fight.
Breazeale is a solid test for anyone wanting to get a world title. He's a solid fighter.
Izu gassed early and became easy to hit.
Doesn't seem big enough in the land of giants we have.
Breazeale nailed on to fight Wilder now after there hotel lobby brawl.

Re: Izuagbe Ugonoh [spoiler]
Mike Tyson was shorter, lighter, smaller, had less reach and his KO rating was actually quite similar. The first guy with a higher boxrec rating as Breazeale that fought with Mike Tyson was Marvis Frazier, who was KOed in the first round by Larry Holmes 3 years earlier. He fought Mike after Mike had 25 fights. Larry Holmes had a boxrec rating of 807 in 1983, Mike Tyson had a boxrec rating of 201 in 1986 after those 25 fights.Tuan_Jim wrote:I can't believe people like you actually exist.asdfjkl wrote:Yea, that's about it, Mike Tyson his opponends just weren't as good as the op contenders of nowadays.Marlo Stanfield wrote:

So yes, Mike Tyson is a legend, since he was the youngest heavyweight titleholder in the history of the sport, but it's not like he was that kind of a superathlete at that time compared to nowadays top heavyweight boxers.

Re: Izuagbe Ugonoh [spoiler]
"shorter, lighter, smaller, had less reach," "KO rating" - you're better off judging the quality of boxers by watching them fight, rather than collating numbers like an anorak halfwit. This will stop you making faulty comparisons between gifted heavyweights like Mike Tyson and low skill mediocrities like Izuagbe Ugonoh and Dominic Breazeale.asdfjkl wrote:Mike Tyson was shorter, lighter, smaller, had less reach and his KO rating was actually quite similar. Mike Tyson even fought 5 guys that wouldn't even be considered as heavyweights at all nowadays.

Once again critical thinking escapes you. You're counting Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams and Kevin McBride against Tyson, when he was 36, 38 and 39 respectively (and semi retired), and have also deducted his 2-round crushing of Andrew Golota (because he smoked a spliff and the local body scrubbed the result) in order to make your point stand up. In other words, it doesn't stand up.
Most people would have abandoned that hand without even showing the cards.
You think Ugonoh, because he is 230lb, and Breazeale, who at 267lb has a jiggling body and floppy tits, are better than Spinks, Tucker, Thomas, Tubbs, Ruddock, Holmes, Williams, Bruno, Tillis, Berbick and Bonecrusher, when empirically the reverse is so. How do you think Ugonoh fares in a spirited 80s-style 12 or 15 rounder? Given that he gassed in 3 the other night? Evidently, the current crop are not "developped in every single way." Skill and technique have in actual fact declined. Or, to use a word you must hear a lot, "retarded."

Holy field would have beaten every single heavyweight around today in his prime.

Out of the current op 50 boxrec heavyweights there are only two boxers who never had a weight of 230 pounds or more.
Mike Tyson even fought 5 guys that wouldn't even be considered as heavyweights at all nowadays.
You can't compare that era of time to nowadays, the boxers developped in every single way, weight and size is one of them.
The current time crop of heavyweights are in the main fat undisciplined slobs with poor cardiovascular and worse skills.
Holy field would have beaten every single heavyweight around today in his prime.
AJ hasn't beaten ANYONE of note to date.
You are a moron.
Re: Izuagbe Ugonoh [spoiler]
Unless you are talking about current 54 year old Holyfield, this is silly. Holyfield, while originally a cruiserweight, is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Haye is daffy, and Joshua hasn't shown he could hold a candle to that Wlad yet. Hell Holyfield was still a respectably heavyweight well into his 40's, Valuev struggled to beat a 46 year old Holyfield, right before Haye scraped through Valuev.asdfjkl wrote:Holyfield vs AJ wouldn't have been much different as Daffy Duck vs Klitschko (who was 36 or so if I remember it correct). And yes, when you're smallr it's more easy to havegood technic skills, but it still doesn't make much of a difference.
