Will anyone buy a PPV with Oscar Valdez headlining?
Top Rank is going with a PPV headlined by Oscar Valdez vs Miguel Marriaga. If reasonably priced, would anyone purchase this fight?

If the price is reasonable, sure. The problem with US PPV is the price. $70 to watch the Cotto retirement tour?... come on HBO...

oscar valdez against santa cruz or abner mares, yeah i would pay 20-40 bucks for that, but against miguel
Re: Will anyone buy a PPV with Oscar Valdez headlining?
I'm a Valdez fan so i'd probably buy it but Top Rank would be idiotic to do this as a PPV event. Oscar Valdez is going to be a top earner in this sport if they play it right. Hitting the PPV button early on a fighters career becomes a negative and hurts the fighters demand and popularity. PPV events should be earned through years of growing fan support. This is way too early and is not a smart move.

Arum should really think about securing another outlet for his fighters like TNT or PBS or something like that.

I doubt arum wants to do it on ppv. I am assuming it is just a matter of hbo not having dates and arum not having anywhere else to go with it.

Of course not. I used to buy boxing PPVs all the time, now I've bought maybe 2 in the last 5 years. The prices are ridiculous and the undercards blow. There is just no value there anymore.
