Biggest robberies over here for an away fighter?

Post by Stuarty »

What's the biggest fukk ups we've made? Recently Beltran drawing against Burns was a total embarrassment. Polo getting a draw against Harrison years ago was a total piss take also!

What others can you guys remember?

I still think Froch won that fight. Classic example of a massive favourite getting into a far closer fight than anyone expected and everyone crying robbery.

Massive favourite? Anyone remember the odds?

I had Dirrell winning by two, but I don't think it was a robbery. He was very elusive and rarely got hit with anything significant, but there were long stretches where he'd throw nothing back and continually flop to the canvas. You could see that, although Froch was really struggling to land, Dirrell was feeling his pressure.

From memory Froch was about 2/7. Not a massive favourite to be fair, but enough of a favourite to justify calling a Dirrell win a fairly sizeable upset. Think it was similar to Wlad v Fury prices.

Even stranger, Ward went into the whole tournament as fourth favourite to win outright. It seems almost incredible but Abraham, Froch and Kessler were all shorter odds.

Another good one.

Malinga was robbed big time.

He had Benn's number in a way that even Eubank didn't.
