If he doesn't, it will mean that Calzaghe will remain without a fight that really challenged his boxing abilities, and this will show when the history of the s-m divison will be written.

If I sound a little frustrated this is because I exactly saw this coming: after 10 years of (largely) waste Calzaghe finaly takes a unification fight - against an over-hyped, taylor-made opponent who happens to have a US passport and thus can be sold on US TV. Lacy was a gift of god for team Calzaghe. And Calzaghe uses this win, and the reputation gained from it, to go for celebrity fights rather than follow up and tackle the boxing challenges that there are - Kessler, Johnson, Adamek, for example.

Pundit is a totally right.

Obviously JC is crap. He's never boxed anyone that was any good. All his opponents were hand picked because they were shit and easily beatable with his style. JC is no better than Pundit in the ring. Anyone who can punch can be a world champ for nearly 9 years, beat 5 or 6 ex champs, unify the title, and beat an up and coming champion in the process, as long as you are managed by Warren.

Sounds easy. Where did I put those gloves?
