Paul Sykes - British & Commonwealth title contender

Post by celticsd23 »

New book available to buy on Amazon about this interesting chap. 50 Interviews, among them is, of course John L Gardner, Micky Vann, Johnny Nelson, Glen McCrory, Neil Malpass & Nick Manners. Available on Kindle or Paperback from March 7th. "I'm 6ft 3in, God made me too big to take orders from little b*starts! That's not me. I've never done it. In the nick I never did it and I don't do it outside. I make my own rules and live by them" Paul Sykes. There's a Facebook page too called Sykes Unfinished Agony. :TU:

I'm from the same town as Paul Sykes. He was a regular in 'reports from the courts' in the nineties. Attacked a disabled bloke with a weapon once. Horrendous human being - best forgotten.

I never understood how he made it to Singapore and about 5 other countries between being released in 84 and going back in 85. All in his same pumps... passport? Money?.....reason?
If that doesn’t sound outlandish - he claimed to have swum the straits between two of those countries :-? He never sounded bonkers either.

Have you watched the Forty Minutes doc called 'Dangermen'? It's on YouTube. Paul appears in that too as well as some other interesting characters.
