The highly-anticipated championship blockbuster between middleweight kingpin and one of the world’s very best pound-for-pound stars Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin and WBA champion Daniel Jacobs will be shown exclusively live on allegedly on Saturday March 18th.

The seismic showdown at the iconic Madison Square Garden will pit two of boxing’s biggest punchers against one another as the undefeated Golovkin faces his toughest test to date against mandatory challenger Jacobs.

Jim McMunn, Box-Nation Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to showcase this much anticipated middleweight world title clash exclusively live on Box-Nation. This is without doubt one of the very best fights of the year, with Box-Nation subscribers getting the chance to see one of the world’s elite fighters in Gennady Golovkin as he takes on a very dangerous champion in Daniel Jacobs. These are two guys who can bang and are known for getting the job done in spectacular fashion – it is a battle not to be missed!”

Probably stay up to watch this. Jacobs will be tricky for the first few I reckon. GGG KO 6-8 rounds though I think.

Just noticed young Scottish heavyweight prospect Jay McFarlane is on this bill as well in only his third fight.

I like this fight, Jacobs has flaws but he has serious power to match Golovkin, he's not as strong as GGG but he has 1 punch KO power which will always make him a danger regardless who he fights, I think theres a bit of a myth surrounding Golovkin's eagerness to get hit, people say he chooses to be hit to make it interesting for the punters but I'm not sure maybe he's just not as sharp as Brook, Monroe Jr etc, he tucked up well against Lemieux but I didn't think Lemieux offered much offensively that night

If Golovkin decides to allow himself to feel Jacobs power then he can hurt him but if I'm honest I just cant see Danny being able to stand up to Gennady's power, i think it could be a cagey start from Golovkin and i see Jacobs starting off sharp for the first 2/3 rounds but once Golovkin gets to work and putting Jacobs under that pressure with his feet, i see Jacobs making a mistake and Golovkin making him pay, maybe against the ropes as Pirog made him pay

I'll go for Golovkin in 5

Not sure how it came about bud. Curious myself. I'd heard of the boy then I clocked his name on the card. Hopefully BN show his fight on Saturday and can shed some light on it.

Really?

We've had DeGale/Jack, Santa Cruz/Frampton 2 and Thurman/Garcia

Though I do agree this is a 5 star fight too

Sorry but not in my book. Not in terms of excitement anyways. Santa Cruz rematch I thought was premature. And other two I knew would be a running contest in which a runner would get a nod. I am getting tired of boxings inadequate scoring. When I know that fighters wont go for KO I am not overly excited.

It's New York, so make sure to tune in around 3am for the main event. The will likely show Cuadras and Chocolatito's fights, so programme starts around 1am or 2am, definately after 3am..

Box-Nation usually post the running order, when I can see it, I'll share it on the forum.
