Not a fight id be itching to see tbh

Although I would watch it

You'd think maliggnaggi would win a wide points win, but something tells me eggington would stop him

Oh yes Paulie wants the European title he was poised to fight for it last year but it got downgraded to the EU belt. I reckon Malignaggi has far too much for Eggington if they do fight...

Would love to see an Eggington win here , but could see it going as the Skeete fight did .

If Paulie is 50% of his peak years he boxes Eddingtons head off. That said I'd pick Skeete to beat Paulie now and would class this as a mismatch

Echo above comments.

If Paulie is still fit and sharp then he wins a wide points decision, I could see him winning every round.

If he isnt, then Eggington could be a handful for him.

I was already tipping Paulie to win this one, even more so after seeing the weigh-in. Eggington looks emaciated I wonder how much longer before he'll have to move up...

Nah that's just how Sam looks, he does Welter easily.
Sam to win by stoppage in last third of the fight.

Ah, okay then, I still think Paulie wins. Points of course, it's not as if he's stopping anyone.

Eggington does look like he could comfortably move up in the future, possibly as far as 160 I'd say he has the frame for it...

Paulie himself did not look exactly fresh to me either. Looking at him on the scales I was wondering how much has he left. Still should have enough for Eggington though, class gap is too wide.

This.
I reckon Eggington takes this comfortably.

I think Malignaggi will be up on points after 4, Sam will start to land more and more from 5 on and the cards will be about level when Sam stops him in 9.

Are the bookies wrong here or what?

Paulie has only lost at the highest level. In his losses he has been widely down on the cards, and you could say he maybe lost hope before being TKO'd. Other than Diaz which he avenged straight away with a convincing point win.

Eggington has beaten Gavin

Bookies are odds on Eggington in the UK. Bookies have had to wrong a lot in last 12 months?

Surely this is nailed on for a Paulie points win.

Paulie vs Gavin would be a good fight. Gavin could show us his level of skill without fear of the TKO.

I can see it going the way of magic man doing enough to win but eggington getting the decision.

Think it goes the 12.

i think the gavin win, has given eggington believe in himself, i know gavin wasn't the best gavin. but that was sams biggest fight and he won with a ko, i like paulie as a fighter and now as a commentator but think he has had his day, sam can be nasty fighter think he will put it on him mid to late stoppage

I want Sam to win myself. Just Paulie is a world level boxer who's only failing at the top was power.

i agree with the power, but still don't think paulie was top level, though he fought there, but never won there (Senchenko, judah) his biggest wins for me ,which i don't think were world class ,he was just under for me , would this fight be worthy of european title fight , or is paulie just not on the same level any more.

Paulie's biggest problem was wasted energy and poor defense(at the highest level). Always twitching his hands and feet unneccesairly. He's had quite a career with so many limitations.

Odds are mad for this fight indeed. Eggington is a sizable favorite. :oo
No way poorly skilled, domestic level fighter should be favored against Malignaggi.
