The move to midweek is the first indication that Sky are putting one foot out of the door as far as British Boxing is concerned. They are getting fed up I hear and may drop live stuff altogether in favour of US tape delay's.
Hope this is not true but my Sky contact is pretty reliable. If this is the case the future for many people looks bleak. :(

U.S. Tape delays are a crock of shite.boxingchat wrote: I hear and may drop live stuff altogether in favour of US tape delay's.(
Tv companies need to realise that they have an up and coming competition known as internet broadcast, they need to keep their foot on the gas or they are going to fall behind.
Sky will still show boxing they had 2 cancellation this year. Itv had 1 if you have injuries to main fight why show inferior product. I rather see british commonwealth or european title fight than a mickey mouse world title fight. The more boxing on british tv is better for the game.
At the moment how many truely world class fighters are British?
