Tony Bellew Knocks Injured David Haye Out in 11th

Post by Kalan »

You can never tell when an upset is going to happen due to an injury or whatever the fk happened to David Haye. He looked worse than horrible.

bellew won the fight.

their were 2 fights, one before and after the injury. before the ankle injury haye was winning every round, after the injury he was losing most of the rounds and at the end ko win for bellew. without the injury everybody knows what would have happened. ud or late tko win for haye. it aint bellews fault that haye has 10000 injurys and that aint his problem, he won the fight.

and no he didnt look horrible, considering he had a broken ankle or wrecked achilles, for a man not able to move his ankles he looked great, still landing big shots on bellew, showed great heart.

He didn't knock Haye out, the corner stopped the fight. Haye was up to continue.

Haye very unlucky--he was clearly winning prior to the injury.

Bellew looked very good the whole night. Best I've seen him box. Haye on the other hand, even though he was winning the early rounds was trying too hard for the Ko. It was the same problem that Frampton had and they have the same trainer. Too much strength and power punching training, not enough boxing.

It was competitive from the start until the 6th when Bellew turned the tide in his favor.

Personally I thought it was 2-2-1 even going into the sixth. But hey to each their own, I picked Bellew to win. :TU:

nevertheless, terrific fight. but both haye and bellew have no business for the top heavyweights. haye would still have it, cause he looked good prior the ankle injury, but he has to many injurys and bellew was lucky as hell.

No way it was even until that point. Haye looked bad, but Bellew was doing pretty much nothing and was starting to get hit more in the 4th and 5th. Haye was also clearly injured before any of the knockdowns, and to suggest otherwise is pure disingenuous trash.

Did you pick Bellew on here, Henry? I know you said it that you thought he could give Haye issues, but you seemed reluctant to actually predict that he'd win (though not so reluctant to spout I told you so!).

That's the way I saw it. Bellew won the first round. The second round looked even, or was Haye's. The third round looked like Haye's. Bellew came back I thought in round four, or was even. Round five was Bellew, or even. I may be wrong, but it doesn't matter. Haye said "No excuses", and said "I have never been in a fight like that in my life," and said Bellew could take his punches, which surprised the hell out of him: and both men agreed to a rematch (if people want to see it).

There's no use complaining over sour grapes. Bellew won by a mixture of staying constantly on Haye's ass, and by freak luck. Haye, clearly, wasn't in the best of condition anyways--- he had to of overlooked Bellew entirely, because even when he was 100% he couldn't do anything to put away Bellew, etc. Simple as that. Anyways :TU: I called it, that after the fifth round Bellew would pour it on (which he did) and Haye would regret having taken this match, because he lost big time.

I give Haye mad props though. He took a hell of alot of punishment, and he's lucky it wasn't some other heavyweight with real punching power, or else he'd of gotten splattered all over the arena. He did rather well for a man who seemingly was a "one legged man in an ass kicking contest", but I think tbh Bellew's style and persistence probably would have won him the fight anyways, even if Haye didn't eff up his leg/heel, etc. because the Hayemaker clearly showed he was gassing out at times throughout this contest, and even in the rounds he won he was flat footed.

Injuries can happen of course... Chris Byrd beat Vitali Klitschko due to VK suffering a fully separated rotator cuff assembly during their fight, and quitting when he was way ahead on the cards because he feared he would do permanent damage to his shoulder... Haye over-trains and this is the cause of his many injuries... But you don't go through with a fight when this sort of thing happens in training, and apparently the achilles injury happened well prior to the fight – so if that's true it’s was a bad move to go ahead with it.

bellew won first round, than haye won like 4 rounds until that ankle shyt happened and than even with one leg, on the ropes bellew couldnt tko haye. bellew was very lucky that haye had his injury otherwise he would have lost every round or end more badly. but good luck to him, his is rich!

you totaly right kalan. also the byrd klitschko example is very good. cause same as today, vitaly was the big favourite and much better boxer than byrd. a healthy vitaly would have wrecked byrd. to me when a injury happens that has not been inflict by an opponent, than the boxer doesnt neccessarly been beaten by his opponents, but he has been beaten by his own injury. hayes achilles beat haye, bellew profited out of it.

Prove that the injury occured before the sixth round.... :TU:

It seems to me, from what I saw that it was competitive and Haye looking good until he got dropped.... :box:

I think you're just pissed off "the wrong man" won the fight cus you're a Haye blowhard

Probably one of those idiots who think Joshua is gonna steam roll through Klitschko too

Probably one of those guys who thought David Price was gonna be the heavyweight champion of the world

Oh well.... Bellew offered Haye the rematch.... the ball is in his court now, and we'll see what happens :TU:

The injury clearly happened on screen. You can see his ankle give and him start to react in pain. You're clueless.

they are showing it now on sky, the slow mo how the ankle injury occured. what happened is, haye had achilles problems before the fight, that why he was in munich having a meeting with dr wohlfahrt. he boxed the first 5 rounds and in round 6 he did a bad movemant having to much pressure on his left ankle and the achilles problem that he had before but wasnt causing him problems was now causing him problems and he was never the same afterwards, baely able to walk.
