It's got to be frustrating for the fans of more aggressive fighting to see these outcomes.

But the matador in this case appeared to simply want to finesse it, nothing less nothing more.

Garcia must have been delivering something that made Thurman think 3 and 4 times before overly committing to anything.

So that speaks a lot of positive about Danny despite being CLEARLY outpointed.
Danny is a good pro who has consistently received more than his share of benefits of the doubt and good fortune over his career. He had the tools to beat Thurman tonight but Keith's strategy was executed nearly perfectly.
Not sure he did have the tools. If he did, it was his chin. I thought Thurman displayed everything better than Danny.

I had it a draw. 6-6 in rounds.
Do you recall which rounds you scored for Danny?
I had it 3-3 after 6. 6-3 Thurman after 9. So I scored the last three for Garcia. Other than that I don't remember. If you look back on the thread it show's my score round for round.

You goons are talking like it was obvious and it was a split decision, one round away from a draw by one judge. That's as close as you can score a fight without calling it a draw. So not sure what the hell you dinks were watching and it says a lot about your boxing IQ, or lack there of.
You are the one and only idiot on here tonight. Go give that vacuum between your ears a rest, before it consumes your skull.
Another super joke Tanzio. Man, you need to writer or a comedy team. These insults are so pathetic. lol. Can't wait to wake up and read the rest of them. So witty.

Danny's body attack was key and he failed to properly deploy it.

Predictable fight. Thurman boxing from the outside using alot of movement workimg off the jab and Garcia looking like he's stuck in the mud most the fight. I gave Garcia 3 rounds but he didn't win one round clearly in my opinion.

Caldo, you seem to put a lot of faith in the cards being close. But those cards actually disagreed with yours 2-1.

Pretty sore eh?

If Danny won, it would have been a bad decision.
Not sore at all. Just no idea why i'm talking to people that don't understand the game. I guess that's on me.
Good luck finding a group of people who thought it was an even fight. Most fans just don't understand the game I suppose.

Btw, how did Steve have the fight scored?

I had Thurman winning 116-112, the 1st half of the fight was like a pendulum on my card but Thurman started to pull away and his rounds were bigger than Keith's throughout so I always felt Thurman looked the winner, ive gotta say Thurman is class, people look for his faults and chinks but he's beating good fighters decisively if hard fought, ive watched Garcia since he turned pro and he's had a few questionable decisions in his favour, I personally had him beating Herrera although I never scored the Theophane fight, either way this is the most conclusive ive seen him lose, he's a proper champ and put in a great effort but lost to the quicker stronger man

Thurman has weaknesses. He can be hurt to the body and he can tire late on. I expected Garcia to do a lot more body work early but he didn't want to know after he was buzzed for a few rounds.

I wonder if there's ever been a fight (that went to the cards) that the entire board agreed with the scores and decision?

Yeah Thurman has shown sign of being hurt, Collazo hurt him downstairs and Porter hurt him as well, but he's recovering to win, Brook's been hurt and won and Pacquiao many times, Spence Jr hasn't been in with anyone who you'd expect to hurt him yet, Bundu and Algieri are non punchers

I still rate Manny as one of the best, he's tailored his style well , the Bradley 3 win was underated so I think he's every reason to claim to be no1 welter, I doubt he'd like to fight Thurman though, hard hitting welterweight who loads up and has the seasoning now, I think he'd be too fresh, TBH even the Collazo win is better now than it was

Farhood? His opinion means as much ours. The point is that one judge gave it to Garcia and the third had Thurman winning by one round. Way closer than you all are letting on.

Thurman has the power to stop anybody. Garcia is very hard to get a KO shot on, and he's very tough -- but Thurman did get some very nice punches on on him early... Danny is a real good fighter, but he's nowhere near the boxer that Keith is. I had it a solid 116-112 for Thruman -- being as generous as I could to Garcia because I knew they were going to try to give DG the fight.. I don't understand the two 115-113 scores for Garcia and Thurman at all..

It's like they said following the telecast...the judges agreed on only 4 rounds so 2 judges were out to lunch on who won what round... I also think Al Bernstein would make a terrible boxing judge, because he talks about numbers of punches thrown instead of good connects.. Also Thurman was doing a lot better as an aggressor than he was following Birmingham's advice to "box smart" because he had the fight won.. I immediately said "NO!! DON'T ease up, go get that boy." I thought of the De La Hoya-Trinidad fight where Oscar was given that stupid advice.. If Thurman thought he might run out of gas by staying aggressive -- he had enough left in the tank in the 12th to go another 8 rounds.. He should have kept pushing the pace because he was landing good real shots and winning big rounds...and you don't know what these stupid judges are going to do.. He risked a robbery by easing up and Birmingham should be smarter than that after all these years.. But in the end KT got a deserved win.. Good.. NEXT!!

I think he should offer Konstantin Ponomarev a Title Shot and then prepare for Spence.. That's GOING to be a blockbuster fight where Keith will have to fight much harder and for 12 full rounds -- and we might actually see something very special in that fight because both fighters will be extended a great deal.

Well deserved for Thurman...he won it comfortably for me

I never scored it but I think it would have been 3 or 4 rounds to Keith on my card if I had.

The main thing is Danny never found a way after all

Not the best fight and I'm glad there was no demand for a rematch

Hopefully see Thurman in with Spence/Brook winner now
Brook isn't going to fight Thurman. Spence very well might, though.

He's done at WW imo. If it's not Khan next he'll move up. Though I think he's in real trouble here, Spence is the real deal. Brook will need to be at his best to win this.

I think it depends on whether he can make it back down to 147

I think it'll be a huge challenge but he's had plenty of time to work his way down since the GGG fight. He was targeting Khan, so 147 has always been the plan and with a couple months to go yet, there's no reason he can't make the limit for Spence

If he can be comfortable at the weight, I give him a really good shout against Spence. Chances are, win lose or draw, he's going to be back chasing the Khan fight again though which will end up costing him big fights again.

I don't know how you could possibly give Garcia more than 3-4 rounds. This draw talk or that horrendous 115-113 card for Danny is fornicating absurd what in the hell were these blind fools watching? Garcia looked lost most of that fight out gunned out thought and oh yeah out landed by a better fighter.
