It's worth pointing out that Haye was knackered and at one point staggered drunkenly around the ring. He looked spent for several rounds. You can't blame the result purely on his injury. There was the matter of fitness. 36 and with a couple of can jobs in 6 years. He wasn't prepared for a Bellew that could withstand the first volleys of big punches and prolong the fight. At what point was this? After he aggravated an injury that has a major impact on balance?

It's pure nonsense to dismiss the injury, and in the case of some loons, to insinuate that it didn't occur. If someone actually watched the fight they should be able to see very clearly that the leg gave out suddenly in the 6th, at which point Haye was ahead multiple rounds and showing no signs of slowing; in fact, he was starting to land more over the 4th and 5th while Bellew was looking increasingly weary. As soon as the leg went the fight changed drastically, which is a very strong indication that Haye being on one leg was responsible for the shift.

Even after that he didn't look any more gassed than Bellew, though his balance was clearly shot.

The trolls are having there day in the sun, but the vast majority are lapping this up and disregarding this injury that was obviously there from the off, it's frustrating me so much, how can Bellew have become a PPV star from this!? The fact that some sources are correct doesn't excuse the sources that are wrong. Now, why don't you fornicate off instead of accusing people of whinging, you pudendum.

Based on what exactly? I'm seen or heard zero evidence of that and find it pretty implausible to be frank. i know he lost some money in a gym venture here, but there were other ine vestors so I'm not sure on the level of personal exposure.
He's earned well from his fights, sponsorship and TV, and I'd genuinely be shocked if he's burnt through it all. Though if he has, I wouldn't include him in the ranks of fighters who need or deserve support post-career.

It's been the Underlying tone of Hearn and Bellew's comments for weeks prior to the fight, spinning the fight that Haye isn't in it for the glory and adulation, where as Bellew is (every one knows it's a cash grab)
And if the rhetoric was true then he would have needed support mentally, something to focus himself on, rather than strip clubs as the Bellew rhetoric claimed

I know it has been, but what I'm saying is there's zero evidence to substantiate that belief to date.

Had no interest in this circus from the off and the fight itself and result and subsequent fall out sums the whole charade up!

He had 2 legs up until the 6th and failed to badly hurt or ko Bellew despite all the experts claming he would get stopped in 1 or 2 rounds max.

You believe he didn't have an injury going in to the fight? It's a bit of a coincidence that he flew to Germany days before the fight to see a doctor who specialises in leg injuries and then he "suddenly" injures his leg in the 6th?

I suspect he started with the injury and it got considerably worse during the fight.

This is definitely what happened. It was well known he had serious problems going into the fight but after his previous pull outs due to injuries there was no way he was going to do that .

Haye's leg very clearly gave out as he bounced back after throwing a combo. Bellew was still doing pretty much nothing but covering up at that point.
