I said I would be back on here the day after the fight and I'm a man of my word, I lost to the better man last night and maybe I'm not as good as I think I am or could be? The plan was to take him into the later rounds and capitalise on his fitness levels but he caught me and fair play to him.. He is a good champion and very hard to hit. I apologise to all my friends and family who came out as I didn't do what I thought I was going to do.. I'm sure the arse holes will have there pops but like I said I hide from no one and gave it everything.. Thank you for the support on here too

Full respect to Tony Bellew for a) willingly venturing into the champion's back yard and b) facing the music on a boxing forum and conducting himself so well. So many boxers / trainers use fan forums to promote their own agendas and then disappear without trace when they suffer a loss or don't like people's views.

Stepping up to cruiser seems a logical route.

When your a kid starting out you dream of being a world champion like all your idols in the sport, then when your fighting or involved in this sport professionally you soon realise that to become a British champion is a amazing achievement in this lonely, tough, brutal sport.

I think tony did the right thing in the fight & try and take Stevenson into the late stages, where it went wrong is that Adonis was comfortable and allowed to fight at his own pace so it would have no affect on how long the fight lasted. Tony has achieved amazing things that most of the keyboard warriors could only ever dream of, I don't think there's any need for anyone to give him a hard time, it's totally uncalled for, he risks his life for a sport, too many people are fickle and love to see you fail, or rub it in with I told you so's, poor taste IMO.

I've known Tony for a while now through my close friend Frankie Gavin and have taken my lad to spar him on numerous occasions over the years, Tony is a very humble, welcoming, passionate guy, if he cares about something or someone he comes across like he would give up everything or give his all for whatever that may be. Tony is a good fighter IMO & I know first hand when tony is 14st plus he hits very hard indeed and again only IMO but I think he his too big for L/H and all his strength work and power suffers, but would knock a lot of fighters out at C/W.

If I'm honest I knew the outcome would be exactly has it was, and not because it was Tony Bellew fighting Adonis Stevenson, it's simply because the current L/H world champs are amazing fighters and leagues above all others coming through IMO there's no British fighter that I can see for the foreseeable future winning a world title at this weight, the same goes for the L/M division, again only IMO.

If you read this Tony, I hope you don't feel to down on yourself pal, you tried, which is more than most can say,
it's better to have tried and failed chasing your dreams than have never tried or risked it at all and live with regrets. You can't win them all it's has simply has that, if only it was so simply then everyone would be a great.
Enjoy a well deserved break pal & Christmas & new year with your family, then back at it in the new year.

To answer the question, I'll come back and learn from the mistakes made, I went in with the best in the division in his backyard.. I'll remove myself from the diet I've been on for the lasr 6 years and make my move upwards in weight.. Expect me to be in some real exciting fights in the new weight division.. One thing is for sure, I'll carry a lot more power there to be honest and I'll be looking to fight the best in that weight too..

I think you fought to a great game plan…and it was slowly working…he was getting frustrated…I so wanted to see you start to attack more in the later rounds, as you were obviously going to…

He caught you and finished the job. Perhaps if you could have got in close and held and mauled and clinched you may have seen the round out…but it’s easy for me to say.

The difference between winning and losing at the very top level is miniscule.

You had him missing a lot.

Your performance was better than Cloud and Dawson’s… And you’ve got a lot of fans.

I'd say either a tilt at Wilder or Parker though they'd have to pay him well to come to the UK, and the fight won't make as much in the U.S goodison park, he'll probably lose, and then retire, or rematch Haye when he's back from injury.

Boomer is in a great position now. He can fight Wilder for big bucks and when he loses, the Haye rematch is there for him next summer.

He can add a few millions to those he made last night.

The bloke does my nut in, but you've got to admire the way he has maximised his situation. Fast car has really looked after him as well and the Rocky film was an added bonus.
