Something perhaps not known to all is the offer of the Pacquiao fight came to Jeff Horn. He didn't go looking for it. Then once Horn accepted the offer, he was given every indication by Top Rank's Bob Arum, who handles Manny, that the fight was a goer.

It was only when Pacquiao's other adviser Michael Koncz got involved in things that what Arum had assured Horn of became shaky.

Regardless of what Pacquiao and Koncz have been saying since, what is most shaky at the present time is the UAE offer.

So stay tuned. The fat lady might have cleared her throat, but she hasn't sung on this one yet.

I like Jeff but this video to an ATG is cringeworthy. He should be grateful he was even considered and got publicity out of it. They would have to have an auto-cue card with Jeff's name on it during the 24/7 episodes so Pac knows who he is?

goose,

your lack of respect for a great aussie young boxer says more about you than anything else imo.

There are reports surfacing that the proposed Manny Pacquiao vs Amir Khan fight is OFF, and that Bob Arum will now put alternate proposals to Manny.

Further to reports the Pacquiao-Kahn fight being off >>>

Pacquiao's Return in Limbo After Promised Funds Never Surface

As of this moment it's not clear just who, when and where Manny Pacquiao will fight next. There were plans to have him face Jeff Horn in Australia and then a fight against Amir Khan in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi was bandied about - when investors were enticing Pacquiao and his team with a reported offer of $38 million.

But it looks like nothing firm is on the table for 'the Pac Man', who last fought on November 5th in Las Vegas, where he out-pointed Jessie Vargas for the WBO welterweight title.

On Tuesday morning Bob Arum explained - "I think what happened was these people in the Philippines sold Manny a bill of goods. I don't know if they were inexperienced that the UAE would come up with tremendous amounts of money. There was no way a normal deal could be be matched."

It was clear that Arum preferred to have Pacquiao fight in Australia, while Pacquiao and his adviser Mike Koncz were seduced by the potential of fighting in the UAE for a ridiculous amount of money.

"So when I told Manny, 'I don't believe it's possible and I think you're going to be disappointed' and he said, 'I want to roll the dice' and OK, so I know enough not to argue. I mean how many times do I tell a guy,' It ain't gonna happen, it ain't gonna happen,' and he believes that it will and even if he's not sure he's willing to roll the dice," said Arum who was in Los Angeles.

"So I stepped back and I agreed to help these people once I saw the f***ing money. There’s no money [from the UAE]. It’s always pie in the sky. That’s what I said, but until it was obvious it was pie in the sky, Manny said he wanted to roll the dice."

So has he been shown the money?

"No, of course not," answered Arum, who says that despite other published reports that Pacquiao will not be fighting on May 20th but in the summer.

"That's OK,'' said the veteran promoter. "He was only going to fight twice a year anyways and so he's fighting in June or July and he fights in November."

“Koncz is on his way back to the Philippines. And he has the proposal [from me]. He’s in favor of it and he’s gonna discuss it with Manny.”

“He went with a proposal for a fight in June or July. I’m not gonna say anything further about it, because I want Manny to see it and either reject it or accept it before I talk to the press about it.”

Some have made the mistake of underestimating Bob Arum's influence in who Manny Pacquiao fights.

11 of Pacquiao's past 14 fights have been against fighters from Arum's company Top Rank.

It just so happens Arum co-promotes Jeff Horn.

If the above trend continues is likely the new proposal Arum has sent to Pacquiao for consideration has Horn's name on it.

Meanwhile Arum has said he is not interested in matching Pacquiao against Thurman, Brook or Spence.

Manny must be a slow reader. Or perhaps he hasn't been checking his mail box?
